Can you think of a better way to spend the holidays than with some wonderful books?? Neither can we! So, for 12 days, beginning tomorrow at 10 PM EST, Stephanie from Inspiring Insomnia and I will be hosting a giveaway, and the winner will receive 12 ARCs! The ARCs will go to a US winner, but because we want our friends outside the US to participate, too, a non-US winner will receive his/her choice of finished copies of any two of the ARCs that we feature. (These may include pre-orders, if you choose.)
Here’s how it will work: On each of the 12 days, Stephanie and I will take turns revealing one of the ARCs to be given away, beginning at 10 PM EST. At the same time, both of our blogs will feature a question that you can answer to earn points in the Rafflecopter. You can ONLY answer a particular set of questions during that 24 hour window, and there will be a new set of questions each day at 10 PM EST. (We will keep the last questions open for two additional days, to allow those of you celebrating Christmas some extra time to comment.) You may want to bookmark our posts for the duration of the giveaway, since we will be updating our posts, rather than creating a new post each day.
December 25th Update:
All the books have been unwrapped and I think it is one epic haul. Because we know everyone is busy over the holiday we are keeping the giveaway open until midnight EST on the 27th. people out of town can still enter.
So for the next two days, you can answer your choice of any two of the previous questions listed below the Rafflecopter (one for me, one for Stephanie) that you may have missed, for additional points.
And for those that visited each site and answered all 24 questions for the appropriate 24 hour window, you can check an entry on the Rafflecopter for additional points. NOTE: You can get 6 points for answering the two previous questions OR 10 points if already answered all 24 previous questions. But you cannot do both.
Take a look at all the ARCs we are giving away to one lucky winner.

And for those rock stars who managed to answer all 20 questions during the appropriate 24 hour window, there will be an opportunity for you to check an entry on the Rafflecopter for additional points.
Thank you to everyone who has participated! We have had so much fun doing this giveaway with you, and we can’t wait to pick our winners!

I’d love to see The Winner’s Curse!!
I’d love to see Ruin and Rising!
Sadly, Ruin and Rising won’t have an ARCs (so I’ve heard). I am desperate to read it too!

Hi,
I hope I can still answer the question. What ARC do I hope is in there? Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi. But I think she said there would be no ARCs. So I’m going with Erased by Jennifer Rush or No One Else Can Have You. But I would be so happy with whatever is in there. Thank you guys so much for such an amazing giveaway. Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
Defy would be awesome to have as an ARC or maybe even Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins.

Thanks for the giveaway and I hope you’re having a great holiday season. As far as ARCs go I am not picky so I would be happy with what ever you put up. Sorry I’m sure that’s no help
Thank you so much for the giveaway! You are awesome no matter what some rude people say! I saw your twitter comment and people have to complain about something, which sucks. If people can’t say anything nice they shouldn’t say anything at all lol. As for your question, I would love to Cress!! So many people have read it already and raved about it.
Unhinged by A.G. Howard!! 😀
I’d love to see an ARC of Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman

My favorite gift? Has to be the past few years when my dad has started to give me money to go on vacation once a year. I’ve been to San Diego Comic Con, Dragon Con and hopefully a Vampire Diaries con in Chicago because of it 🙂
Hmmm… I got a waxing bench for cross-country skis one year, which such a WONDERFUL gift!
My favorite gift would be my new Macbook Pro!! It is a combination Christmas and graduation present but my old computer was dying and it is amazing to have a laptop that works! Plus, I’ve been wanting one for forever…. LOVE it! =)
My favorite gift would be a tie. Favorite Christmas gift was a Magic Bullet from my sister. I didn’t realize how much I would use it! Favorite non Christmas would be the bookshelf my dad just built me 🙂
I received signed copy’s of Pushing the Limits and Dare You To!
My favorite Christmas gifts are always books or book related. Such as Amazon gift cards. My mom in law is the best for giving some serious Amazon cards. Love it!
I know that it is sad, but my fave gifts are always books and Amazon gift cards so I can get more books!
My first $100 gift card for Barnes and Noble after 🙂
It is going to sound funny but hear me out. I have a friend who is much older than me. He is a gruff, surly old man. But for some reason he took a shine to me. The other thing about him is he is the most perfect Santa Claus I have ever seen. My mom and I had a tradition where we would scour the malls looking for the Santa that looked the most real and this man was my perfect Santa. I’ve ever seen one better. But over the years people always begged him to dress as Santa Claus and he swore he never would. When I was seventeen he showed up on my doorstep dressed as Santa Claus. I was so happy I cried. Best Christmas present ever.
This brought tears to my eyes. So sweet.
Always books! I was so happy when I got the entire Hunger Games trilogy!
All my friends in my maths class made me a giant Pascal’s triangle poster to put on my wall haha. I appreciate the effort that must have taken!
My husband bought me the entire set of the British version Harry Potter books. Best present ever.
The best present I’ve gotten in recent years was a new camera from my husband. I had no idea he was getting it and it came as a total surprise. He worked extra for weeks and I’m pretty sure I cried after I opened it.
Probably Cress or Crash into You by Katie McGarry.
The best Christmas gift I received would have to be The Hunger Games trilogy. 🙂
The best Christmas present I ever got was my Irish Setter puppy called Flip:)
Thank you:)
My favorite gift was my Nintendo Wii from my dad. I wasn’t expecting it, it was a graduation present.
I remember when i was 16 my mother bought me these cool AC/DC Guitar. I have a lot of good memory with that guitar(R.I.P). also one year i got a Whole CD collection set of all the first set of Sims..the good memory’s of ruining my life to take care of none-real life’s.
My favorite gift was a Hudson Bay blanket.
my fave christmas is white christmas with a lot of snow..and off course i can only see on movies 🙂
i live in in south asia..it’s always sunny or rain in here..
thx u for hosting 🙂
^^ i absolutely don’t now the title revealed so far so i’m making discoveries^^
best present/christmas gift ever? let see… it wasone oen really expensive far from it but i love stuffed animal and that year my parents have been so busy that i was nearly sure there won’t be a gift for me under teh tree so when exchanging gift time came and that i receive this so cute littl penguin i couldn’t stop crying because i knew it took them a lot to have it for me and he was ( still is) so cute!!
awwww…so great you still have it
My favorite Christmas present was my dog Candy. She was the cutest little doggie! I loved her so much… When my mom let her out of her cage on the morning of Christmas Day, she ran underneath a cabinet of ours and refused to come out. My mom reached in to get her and was met with a nice bite! She was nicknamed Fang. Unfortunately we had to put her down 2 weeks ago. I’m going to miss my little fang!
Oh, I’m so sorry 🙁
Best Xmas gift? I remember loving loads as a kid, but as an adult I have two that are first in my mind! My KitchenAid that I had wanted for so long for all my baking (it was a full family gift! Everyone pitched it!) and being able to return home in time for Xmas after being stuck at Heathrows for 5 days back in 2010 with the huge snow debacle!
My favorite gift was when my mom took me to NYC to see Daniel Radcliffe in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. It was awesome!
My favorite christmas present…. My husband won his fantasy football league and instead of spending the money on himself he bought me a professional grade Kitchen Aid.
My favorite Christmas present..it was the gift of friendship. My bestie and I finally settled our differences for 3 years after not talking with each other. She became my maid of honor on my wedding day and godmother of my eldest child.
Favorite Christmas gift I got would be trip to Paris from my sis. Love her! 🙂
Probably my favorite gift ever … would have to be my car. Can’t really top that. 🙂
My dollhouse that my dad spent months in the garage making. Down to the tiny baby crib and high chair and other furniture. He HAND MADE it. It was the best gift ever and I would still have it now if my little brother hadn’t ‘accidentally’ dropped a weight bar with weights on the roof and smashed it. The dollhouse had three floors and was approximately three feet across by one foot deep by four feet high. I LOVE my dad for making it:)))) Happy Holidays to everyone!!
Awww! That is so sweet <3 So sad it got broken. I bet your brother felt horrible
I got a Kindle a few years ago from my parents and that thing has a lot of miles on it! I love it so much! I’m a little sad to be upgrading to the Kindle Paperwhite. Thanks for the chance to win and great question!
Brittany
My favorite Christmas gift was my laptop. I needed a new one but I didn’t expect it at all. It was a great surprise!
Well I can not remember any kind of presents I got when I was younger. I’d have to ask my mom about that. But I love it when I get clothes for Christmas now. I go all year not buying myself any kind of new clothes so when I get them it’s really terrific. Lame answer I know. Thank you.
The year my mom got me the coolest talking Darth Vader money bank!
The best gift I ever received as a kid… Wow. Well, I automatically think of this big Playskool red and blue slide I found next to the tree with a bow one year… But then my mind drifts to a Nintendo DS… And slowly, I remember the Kindle ereaders I received later on. That’s a difficult question
Thank you for the giveaway Kristen. <3 and for making part of it international 😀 You are awesome.
I’ve gotten so many awesome gifts over the years, but my favorite is probably a necklace I received from my mom a few years ago. It’s an adorable little cat charm, and I wear it every day to work. Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
I received a paperwhite kindle from school because I read the most books in the whole school! 🙂
What is your favorite Christmas (or for any reason) gift you’ve received?
Apart from books… aaammm… a necklace of a heart with a red stone that my boyfriend gave me for our first Christmas together 🙂
My favorite present was a camera from my uncle..I love it and use it all the time!
Books
My favorite gift I’ve ever received is probably my iTouch. I can’t live without it now. ;D
This is for Q2: my favorite Christmas present was a gift I had actually bought myself. I ordered a signed Sherrilyn Kenyon book for myself. Was actually my first ever signed book and it was such an amazing book! 🙂 <3

Jingle Bells 😀
I love them all, Carol of the bells, Last Christmas by Wham!, 12 days of christmas, etc…everytime I hear any christmas song it makes me happy.

White Christmas by Bing Crosby, Last Christmas by Wham and Fairytale of New York by The Pogues. 🙂
Jingle Bells
My favourite Christmas song would have to be Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! 🙂
I’m a wee bit of a grinch, so I get tired of Xmas songs fairly easily even more given the way they get overplayed all the time at malls and the like. So the one song I really like that is Xmasy? All I Want for Xmas by Mariah Carey, and I have to say I’d love to listen to the version from Love Actually any day of the week!
I take Christmas songs in limited doses, but I like a lot of the old Christmas time hymns, especially when you can hear the harmonies. And I really like this little known song “I Celebrate the Day” by Relient K.
I’ve always liked Rockin Around the Christmas Tree and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. But I enjoy all of them.
I’m not sure if this is the name of the song, but I love Baby It’s Cold Outside. ;D
My favorite christmas song is Santa Baby by Ertha Kitt.
Carol of the Bells
Definitely “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby. 🙂
i love ” douce nuit”, thank you so much for this event i’m having a lot of fun so far^^
So happy you have been enjoying this giveaway. Thinking we’ll have to do it again next year 🙂
i would love that!
My favorite Christmas carol is Aspen Glow by John Denver.
My favorite christmas carol is Baby, It’s Cold Outside!
I love Silent Night, definitely my favorite.
I think my favorite Christmas carol is probably Rudolf the red nose Reindeer.
I can really only handle Christmas songs for about three days. If I had to pick a favorite I’d say O Holy Night.
My favorite carol is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. 🙂
My favorite song is probably Christmas Must Be Something More
Q3: My favorite song is probably Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, since it’s my favorite Christmas movie! <3
Day 4 Question: Favorite book of 2013.. Such a tough question! I think it’s a tie between Shadowlands by Kate Brian and Splintered by AG Howard!
Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
Q4: My favorite book of 2013 has got to be Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry! I love that book so much!
Such a hard question! My favorite book of 2013 is probably (here’s a long list) Everbound by Brodi Ashton, Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson, Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, Cress by Marissa Meyer, Vicious by Victoria Schwab…okay, I’ll stop bothering you. 😛
But Cress doesn’t come out til Februaaaaaaaaaaary. T_T
My favorite book this year was Unravel Me!
It’s always so hard to pick, but I think I’m going to go with either This Song Will Save Your Life or Fangirl.
Day 4 Question: My favorite read of 2013 was Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. Such a great story. 🙂
My favorite book of 2013 was probably Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson.
I’m going to say my favorite 2013 read was These Broken Stars. It seriously blew me away with its beautiful prose and simple yet engrossing story!
And about The Winner’s Curse reveal? *FLAILS* Thanks for this epic giveaway!! XD
Favorite 2013 book? I’m a sucker for Siege & Storm.
Choosing a favorite book of 2013 is impossible! I’ll name three, though: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers, and United We Spy by Ally Carter.
My favorite book of 2013 was Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell! (: so relatable!
oooh, Favourite book of 2013…that’s a toughy! I wanna say Scarlet by Marissa Meyer or Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers. I’m so excited for The Winners Curse!
My favorite book of 2013. . . That’s a really hard question to answer! I’ll go with The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black as my favorite (though, really, it’s a tie between like 10 books 😉
I honestly can’t pick a favorite! There are so many books that I could choose!
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer was one, Find Me by Romily Bernard was another…..Crash Into You (Katie McGarry) could also make the list!
My favorite book of 2013 was Long Live the Queen by Kate Locke. Loved the series and the book and am sad to see it end.
Favorite Christmas Carol is so hard since its always changing. I love grandma got ran over by a reindeer because my grandpa would always put it on the record player and we would sit by the fire and the Christmas tree listening to Dr demento.
2013 favorite… ugh this is a hard one. I loved These Broken Stars, The Dream Thieves, Splintered, and Never Fade. There are just too many books….
I guess if I have to choose a favorite…. Never Fade. It beat These Broken Stars by a hair, and only because of the Chubs and Ruby reunion scene. Probably one of my most favorite scenes ever… *wipes away tears*
The Fiery Heart! The ending to that book was just freaking mind blowing.
That’s tough. But I have to go with This Man Confessed by Jodi Ellen Malpas, because you know, when you’re obsessed with the characters, you’d be very addicted to the book hence making it the best one you’ve ever read 😀
Siege & Storm and Never Fade our my favorites
I can’t pick a favorite! I enjoyed reading the artemis fowl series, the parasol protectorate series and the lunar chronicles.
House of Hades!
I’m going to have to say The House of Hades too 🙂

My favorite book of 2013 is Crown of Midnight!
I can’t pick just one! But off the top of my head, I really liked Cinder, For Darkness Shows the Stars, and The Graveyard Book.
Q4: Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas. Hands down. Book Three is the book I’m looking forward to most for 2014. It shall be amazing.
It was SO good. Maas just gets better with every book.
Deception by CJ Redwine because I love the characters and the plot is fast:)
Thank you:)
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Just one favorite? Pivot Point by Kasie West
Hmmm, I just cannot pick just one!! I adored Raven Boys & Dream Thieves, Clockwork Princess, Crown of Midnight, Angelfall… too many!!
Hum so hard to pick one ( and i’m not sure i ‘ve read that many 2013 release so i will go with one that surprised me the most: Elysian fields by Suzanne johnson^^

My favorite book of 2013, ahhh such a tough question! Probably a tie between Pivot Point and Unravel Me!
Oh and – YAY THE WINNER’S CURSE! I WAS CROSSING MY FINGERS FOR THIS ONE!
So happy you are all excited about the selection! I about died with excitement waiting to reveal it!
The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielson. I love this series.
I will have to go with Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. I thought it was just incredible.
My Favorite book of 2013 (Just one?!) would be Crash Into You by Katie McGarry
My favorite book of 2013 was Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It was fantastic!
Crash Into you by Katie McGarry!
I liked Mother, Mother, but it was so creepy!
I’ve not heard of this one…creepy title
My fave book of 2013 is such a hard question! I have so many but I think I’m going to say Prodigy and Champion as a combo since both came out for the same series this year and both were amazing!
YAY for The Winners Curse!
Favorite book of 2013 would have to be either The 5th Wave, Fangirl or Crown of Midnight.
I loved Unbreakable
House of Hades
The Winner’s Curse and Evertrue! -wink wink-
You have the hardest questions, girl. Most excited to read? MAYBE Strange and Ever After. Idk! There are too many!
Can I cheat on this question?? I narrowed it down to the first 3 that popped into my head — Split Second, Ruin and Rising and Opposition!
Day 5 question: Oh, good golly…probably Cress, Winner’s Curse, Dangerous, Chapel Wars, Amy Zhang’s untitled book…there’s too many!
Cress and the next ever after book
The Winner’s Curse!! It sounds like just the sort of book I’ll absolutely love!
ONE of my favorites of 2013 is actually a series. The Immortal Empire series by Kate Locke. I absolutely adore this series in such a huge way. But although definitely at the top of my faves list, there are still 2 dozen more favorites that deserve to be mentioned as well. 2013 ROCKED!
Santa’s weight is a cheery, hearty ho-ho-ho worthy 217.9 pounds!
I am most eager to read The King by J.R Ward. I love the BDB series and have been eagerly awaiting this one. I love the Blind King.
Definitely The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan!
I am most eager to read City of Heavenly Fire and Cress!
Q4: My most anticipated read of 2014 right now is Faking Normal by Courtney C Stevens! I want it so badly <3
Question 5! Sorry!
#5 Into the Still Blue, Cress, and Split Second 😉
You ask some hard questions. I’m going to cheat and give you more than one. Sweet Reckoning by Wendy Higgins, Rebel by Amy Tintera, The Treatmnt by Suzanne Young, The Darkest Minds 3 by Alexandra Bracken, The Warrior by Victoria Scott, Ignite Md by Tahereh Mafi, Erased by Jennifer Rush. I’m more than sure I could add more but I figured I would give you a break.

there is so many books i want to read in 2014 but i would have to say Cress<3
There are lots of books I’m looking forward to in 2014. Really excited for Her Dark Curiosity, Ignite Me, Cress, and The Retribution of Mara Dyer. Thanks.
Ignite Me!
I can’t choose just one!!! How about three? 🙂 The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski, Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor and Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo.
Yes! These are perfect picks
Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins:)
Thank you:)
My most Eager book to read released in 2014 is Rge Shadow Throne by Jennifer A. Neilson. I cannot wait.
I want to read Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins! After the End by Amy Plum also looks good!
Patricia Briggs has a new book coming out. I’m looking forward to that.
Probably Cress. The series has had such interesting twists on the original tales.
Hmmmm, I’m super excited to read some end of trilogies like Evertrue, Infinite, Ignite Me, Sweet Reckoning, … and on the first in series or stand alone side I’m super excited to read The Winner’s Curse, Salvage, The Fearless, Hexed, (Don’t You) Forget About Me… Damn, too many books I’m excited for!!
hum there are quite a few Pirate alley by Suzanne johnson ( must see my Pirate get his revenge^^ he can be so creative;) ) the new seanan mcguire in the october daye serie and in the incriptid series, black arts by faith hunter and the last book of teh adventure of cat and bones( and several other i can’t think of right now)
My favorite book of 2013 is Unravel me by Tahereh Mafi!
Love the idea for this giveaway! I should have stopped by sooner! 😀 The book I’m most looking forward to in 2014? That’s easy…it’s The Winner’s Curse!!!
Thanks Jen! I can’t wait until you read The Winner’s Curse 🙂
I am most eager to read The Magician King by Lev Grossman. It is the final book in The Magicians trilogy and the after way the last book ended I need to find out what happens to these characters!
i cant wait to read Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd & Darkbound by Scott Tracey.
There’s so many! I’d say either Cress or The Winner’s Curse.
Alienated, Cress and Fire & Flood
Ooooh, that’s so hard. I have so many sequels coming out, like James Dashner’s new book, as well as Lydia Kang’s second, hopefully. But I think that I will have to go with the Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan. It’s just the last book of the series and I’ll probably cry for 3 days, *cough*, years.
I can’t wait for Cress, Ignite Me, and City of Heavenly Fire, The last two will be the end of some of my favorite series but I’m still eagerly awaiting them.
I’m most looking forward to Ignite Me!
I am really excited for Cress and Unhinged!
I’m really excited for The Retribution of Mara Dyer.
Ignite Me and Split Second

Middle Grade: The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Nielsen
Fantasy: Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover 🙂
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi
I would have to say Empower by Jessica Shirvington. I need to know how that series is going to end! It’s killing me!
Brittany @ Spare Time book blog
My favorite 2013 debut book is probably Altered by Jennifer Rush! 😀
My favorite debut this year was Mermother by Elizabeth Jane Wolfe.
My favorite debut this year was Transparent by Natalie Whipple!
I actually haven’t read that many, but I just started Taken by Erin Bowman so
Oh, I don’t know if I could pick just one favorite 2013 debut…so many good ones! Maybe All Our Yesterdays or Splintered or Arclight or Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. Yeah, maybe one of those. =)
Probably All Our Yesterdays by Cristin Terrill.
Definitely Pivot Point by Kasie West.
And ERMAHGERD CRESS!!!
Day 5 Question :
The Queens Choice
Day 6 : Clockwork Princess
Debut books of 2013….
Probably Splintered by A.G.Howard. It’s all I can think of off the top of my head right now.
I loved Jet by Jay Crownover. I have really become obsessed with her Marked Men series.
There were SO MANY awesome debuts this year, but I’d have to say Transparent by Natalie Whipple was my favorite! I’ve already read it twice. And the sequel.
And may I just say: CRESS!!! *FLAILS*
That is a tough one. Maybe Splintered by A.G Howard or The Beautiful and the Cursed by Page Morgan or If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch or Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn…. There are more favorite 2013 debuts that I loved I’m sure. But these are definitely favorites!
Day 6: Erm…I’m not really sure whether These Broken Stars and Backward Glass by David Lomax is a debut but I love it so much!
Q6: My favorite debut book is either Splintered by A.G. Howard or The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd. Soooo good!! <3
*dies* Cress.
Favorite 2013 debut…I’m gonna go with Prep School Confidential by Kara Taylor.
Oh my god, CRESS!!! (pick me! pick me!) I love Lunar Chronicles. Words can no do my passion justice.
As for my favorite 2013 debut novel, it’s really hard to pick but I’m gonna go with Pivot Point 🙂 Fingers crossed for this giveaway!
I would have to say Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis, was a really good short read.
CRESS!!!
My favorite debut novel of 2013 was Pivot Point by Kasie West (:
My favorite 2013 debut is Golden Boy by Abigail Tarttelin. I love it. I reccommend it
Favorite debut book of 2013.. Definitely Pivot Point by Kasie West, amazing read. 🙂
I really enjoyed The Bone Season!
The Bone Season!
I just read Another Little Piece and I love it! I also like Inhuman but I’m not sure if it is a debut book.
My favourite debut? Hmmm, it’s gonna be a tight run between Splintered by Anita Howard, In The End by Demitria Lunetta and Not A Drop To Drink by Mindy McGinnis!!
I don’t think I read any debut authors but my favorite book in a new series was The World Beneath by Rebecca Cantrell.
i don’t think i have read any 2013 debut book… so no favourite sorry
Happy First blogoversary Kristen!!
Thank you Miki!!
My favorite 2013 debut was probably Some Quiet Place. Loved that book!
I really enjoyed that one too…very much looking forward to the next book. Comes out 2014?
Happy Blogoversary!
Okay so my favourite debut book would have to be either In The After by Demetria Lunetta or Reboot by Amy Tintera!
Thank you! I enjoyed both of those so much too
Q6: The only debut novel I read this year was Sign of the Throne by Melissa Eskue Ousley. So, that, I guess, However, it was severely flawed but the final chapters did nicely set things up for the sequel.
My favorite debut… that is so hard! But Pivot Point popped into my head first. I’m such a fan of Kasie West now!
Pivot Point was very well done. I’m excited about Split Second
My favorite debut was If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch and Find Me by Romily Bernard.
Thank you:)
I didn’t read any debuts this year! I’m not very good at keeping up with new authors!
Pivot Point by Kasie West
I would love to see an ARC of Dreams of Gods & Monsters being given away!
Me too!! I don’t think they’ll be doing ARCs of that one (sadly)
Day 6: Splintered – AG Howard!!
Oh crud, I have no idea which books I read debuted this year. Um… Scarlet came out this year, right? Yeah, let’s go with that. 🙂
My favorite was Pivot Point by Kasie West.
I’m really excited for Cress. Other than that, I can’t say I have a favorite debut book. 😛
Boy Nobody by Allen Zadoff
Favorite debut….mmm maybe The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon, or The Program by Suzanne Young
I loved The Bone Season! I’ve not read Program yet
Worst present?
God strangely hard one. I haven’t really received any bad presents. In fact yes, I have.
When I was about 5/6 for my birthday I got a Cindy doll. Sounds a bit weird but I HATED dolls or anything girly so after everyone had left I looked at my mother and was like “Why did they get me this?” haha
Favorite book debut?
Hmmm… Well if this questions means what I think it means then Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. I just ugh. So good.
The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd
My favourite debut book of 2013 would be Ignite by Erica Crouch! I absolutely ADORED this book, and I cannot recommend it enough. I have featured it about 100 times on the blog, because I love it so much. When I was reading it, I couldn’t put it down – I wanted to devour the whole thing (and I did, haha).
Splintered by A.G. Howard
Real by Katy Evans 🙂
My fav debut? Altered.
My favorite 2013 debut was Kate Karyus Quinn’s “Another Little Piece”! Plus Kate is such a sweetheart and an amazing author friend;)
I really need to read that one! Been on my TBR for way too long.
My favorite 2013 debut book…that one is hard! I’m going to go with Bitter Sweet by Jennifer Armentrout. That novella made me so unbelievably excited for the next book which is hard to do.
Brittany @Spare Time Book blog
The program suzanne young
So many great books debuted this year but my favorites would be Celtic Moon by Jan Delima and The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. They were two really fantastic books.
Gallagher Girls by Ally Carter ended this year. I was pretty happy with the ending, but she hyped it up like so many people were going to die, so that was a bit of a let-down.
Umm, Darkness Rising by Kelley Armstrong! I loved the ending! 😀
None of my favorite series ended this year.
Series that ended this year that I really liked their endings? Clockwork Princess was a fantastic ending of a trilogy I loved, and so were Goddess for the Starcrossed trilogy, If I Should Die for the Revenants trilogy and Infinityglass for the Hourglass trilogy!
As a matter of fact, one of my all time favorite series ended this year and I absolutely loved the ending. Although it made me sad because I wasn’t ready to let the characters go yet. But, I had to and the goodbye ended on a very bright and happy note. So, I guess you would like to know the name of the series huh?! The Immortal Empire series by Kate Locke. God Save the Queen, The Queen is Dead and Long Live the Queen.
I’ve not read this series…I’ll have to investigate!
My favorite series The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare ended this year, it was one of my favorites but the ending kinda disappointed me. It felt like the ending was done to please everyone so no one could be mad at ending where there was something for everyone.
Yep, I totally agree. I loved the last book up to that list bit (which I like to pretend didn’t exist.)
Q7: Actually I didn’t have my favorite series end this year. The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu ended tis year, which I adore, and that book was such a fantastic ending to a series! It was just so amazing!! <3
Hmm, I don’t think I had a series ending favourite. I think I only finished one and I wasn’t too impressed. However, there was a great deal of sequels that wholly surprised me by their awesomeness (:
The ending of the Legend trilogy was amazing! I quite liked the ending of the Divergent series too 🙂
I have finished and started so many series that I can’t possibly choose just one!! But so far the series that have ended for me have been very good! 🙂
A couple of my series have ended… Like the Starcrossed and Divergent trilogy and actually I haven’t even read the last book! So I have no idea how they end… I can start a book like that but get me to try and read the second and third one is like pulling teeth!
This year, the Divergent series ended! Did I like the ending? Absolutely not. I’m still not over it. D:
Well, I am excited about Cress but I need to read Cinder and Scarlett first.
AH! Yes such a great series.
A couple of series have ended this year.. I really loved endings of Unearthly trilogy by Cynthia Hand, Unraveling duology by Elizabeth Norris and Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout.
The Divergent series and it ended perfectly!
Boundless by Cynthia Hand was the last book in the series, and I loved the ending! It was perfect:)
Thank you:)
The Divergent series ended this year but I haven’t read Allegiant so I can’t say if I liked the end or not. 🙂
The Divergent series. It was a sad ending.
My Favorite Series will end next year. I haven’t read any other series yet.
Which is your favorite series?
Q7: Yes. Eden by Janelle Stalder. The ending (Eden-East) was perfection. Everything you could ever want in an ending. Definitely in my Top 5 books of the year.
i guess some series i follow perhaps got their last book last year but in that case i haven’t gotten them yet ( i’m often a long time behind new release^^) so for what i’ve read no ending no and in a way i prefer that i hate series ending^^( but 2014 will be full of it like up from the grave by jeaniene frost etc)
Day 7: Divergent ended, and it was shocking. I liked it more than the average Amazon reviewer 🙂
Marie Lu’s Legend series ended with Champion, and I thought the ending was perfect. I know not everyone agrees, but I thought it was moving.
I assume two books can be considered a series, so I will also mention Just One Day/Just One Year. You know how I felt about JOD (LOVED), and I was quite disappointed with JOY. I will never give up on Gayle Forman, though. 🙂
I can’t think of a series that ended last year, but I still remember Diana Wynne Jones, one of my all time favorite authors, who died in 2011 of cancer. She has one more book coming soon, completed for her by her sister Ursula, but it was the end of a wonderful,, prolific writer’s life.
The on;y series that ended this year which I read was Divergent. Unlike a lot of people I was okay with how it ended.
Day 7 Questions: No, my favorite series still haven’t finish.
Day 6 Questions: I still haven’t read any debut book this year .
I loved the ending of the FIre and Thorns trilogy by Rae Carson!! Loved the entire series, actually 🙂
I’ve still not read book 2 and 3–must get around to those!
Allegiant was probably my most anticipated finale this year. I didn’t love the ending though. BOO! But I also was excited for Champion and that ending was perfect!
The Infernal Devices ended, and it managed to end perfectly 🙂
The Girl of Fire and Thorns trilogy ended, I was happy with the ending!
Also the Gallagher Girls series ended.
Yes! Veronica Roth’s Divergent. I thought Allegiant was okay, but not nearly as good as the first book in the trilogy.
I haven’t read any series that ended this year. Well, I have Allegiant on my shelf, waiting for me, but some friends of mine told me I would not like the ending so I’m kind of afraid to even touching it! hahaha
Well, yes, I think so, The Incarnation series by Avery Williams? I started the same day, I finished both books. I loved it and I couldn’t believe it was over. I hope I’m wrong and that there’s more! 🙂
Infernal Devices, Gallagher Girls, and Divergent. 🙁 They were all great, and personally, I rather liked Allegiant’s ending, But, a happy ending would be preferable too. 😀
Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand!! Clara ended up with guy who I was rooting for, so I was happy!! 🙂
I live in the south, so I probably won’t have any snow. There might me a little, but not enough to actually stick.
And the Covenant series by Jennifer Armentrout ended. I’m not really happy with the ending, since a lot of books have ended it like that. I think it could have been better, but I’m excited for the spin-off that’s coming.
I have yet to read the last book in the Covenant series. I own it but haven’t had time to get around to it yet. Hopefully soon.
A few of my favorite series ended and I was fairly happy with most. Allegiant and Champion were solid endings but Requiem was lacking for me!
Day 7: I’ve had several series end this year – Delirium, Divergent The Chemical Garden but none of them were my favorite and sadly I was disappointed in the ending to all of them 🙁
The Lying Game ended. Sad to see it go, but loved the way it ended. No real chance of snow where I live. It could happen, but it’s not likely.
The Divergent series ended. I was completely satisfied with it!
My blogging/book related resolutions are: being better at keeping my ARCs up to date and not have tons pending, and being better at writing reviews right after finishing a book!
Yes Pili, this! I’m so bad at just starting the review and then leaving it to the last minute!
My book resolution for 2014 is to stay away from the library and read all of the amazing books that are sitting on my shelf. I have books on my shelf that have been sitting there for 2 years that I haven’t read because the library is kind of my addiction. So I have made a vow to stay away from the library and read at least 10 of my books before I am allowed to go back!
I guess a blogging resolution for me in 2014 is to interview more authors and bloggers.
I have a few book/blogging resolutions for the new year, but I’m still finalizing most of them. A big one though is to catch up on some series! I made a list of series in which all the books are out or will be out by the end of 2014 that I have not yet finished reading. Time to get on that!
My 2014 book blogging resolution is to find the perfect review format for me! I have a hard time finishing reviews right now, so I thought trying a new format might help – we’ll see!
I’m really excited to read Cruel Beauty – Beauty & the Beast retellings are my favorite! Thanks for the giveaway! 🙂
I love Beauty and the Beast too. I hope you enjoy Cruel Beauty!
Well, I don’t do resolution period, so I have no actual resolutions, though it would be nice if I could keep the number of books I’d like to read even with the number of books I’m actually reading (as opposed to read 1 book, add 5 more to the TBR list), which probably won’t happen.
I’d like to have more time to post author spotlights and giveaways. This year has been hectic so it’s been just reviews but hopefully I can get more into it next year.
Thanks for the wonderful giveaways. 🙂
Oh both post types are so much fun! 🙂
I just want to keep myself to a schedule (right now I am pretty crazy)
To actually put reviews up. We just started this year but mainly just follow others posts.
Many resolutions. My biggest is that I just want to post more reviews. Simple as that.
I’m a new blogger,every day,step by step 🙂
Q8: Definitely to be more on top when it comes to blog posts and reviews. As well as keeping up with commenting and responding to comments! I am TERRIBLE with that!
I’m with you! I want to be much better at commenting and spending more time at other folk’s blogs. So many great ones out there.
I don’t have a blog but I have a goal to read 52 books next year! That’s a book a week! It may not be a lot compared to others, but that’s quite a lot for me. 🙂
I’d like to read more mystery YA, and more thriller YA too:))
Thank you:)
I want to give YA contemporary romance another chance and keep my TBR list in control.
i would like to have some post ready in advance in case life happen and i can’t read for a time and i also want to try to make a dent in teh challenge sooner because i’m behind now with only a few day to finish
happy holidays
I would LOVE to have posts done in advance. I can’t seem to do that either.
Really just to try and rein in my rampant TBR. But let’s be honest, that’ll never happen hahaha
Day 8: read more nonfiction
My 2014 resolution is to read at least 75 books and review half of them…including some that have been languishing in my to-read pile for most of 2013!
I really want to read more books. I would like to do more frequent reviews. Not sure if it’s a reachable goal but, I’m going to try!!
Q8: I don’t currently have a blog. I have thought about starting one though. Perhaps 2014 will be the year I do!
It is a ton of work (well only as much as you make it) but so much fun! Let me know if you do 🙂
My 2014 resolution is to find more time to read ’cause there’re sooo many awesome books waiting on my TBR list. 🙂
SO many great books coming out this next year *flails*
My book resolution is to read more often and actually blog about them 🙂 Also, to keep my blog updated more frequently.
I have TONS of blogging resolutions for next year. In fact, I’m going to write a post about them. 😀
I’m pretty sure I’ll be writing a post like that as well 🙂 Can’t wait to read yours!
Q #8 : I don’t have a blog, and don’t have any resolution to for read books 🙂
My reading resolution is to read more debuts and new books and my blogging resolution is to stay consistant.
I hope to beat the reading challenge I set this year with a bigger goal next year and to finish some of the series that I started this year like the Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima. Also to say goodbye to some of my series that end next year.
This year’s reading goal was 150 books read, I’m currently at 254 so maybe 250 books read for next year because at some point the limit has to be at the maximum amount of books I could possibly read, right?
Nest Year I just want to get to read the books I really want to read. And read more then this year.
Um, just sent a book blogging site live this week, so give it a go and try to make interesting and punctual posts. 🙂
Oh, what’s the site name?
Always make time for reading. Daily!
I cannot wait for Cress! I’m so excited!
My book/blogging things I want to do:
-Actually post on my blog regularly
-Finally read some Shakespeare
-Find a way to properly balance school, writing, and reading and keep it balanced!
Hmm. Finish my Netgalley backlog. Finish all the half finished reviews. Read the books that have been on my TBR list forever.
Perfect Ruin by Lauren DeStefano. I couldn’t even get through it, even though I really tried. Kept my copy though, to give it another try someday – maybe I just wasn’t in the mood?
There have been a few of those. Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini and the Wings series by Aprilynn Pike are the first that come to mind.
Shiver (Wolves of Mercy Falls). I am not a fan of Shiver. I really loved The Scorpio Races and The Raven Boys, but I just did not like me some Shiver.
I really really didn’t like The Hunger Games! I heard such great things but I think it was a terrible book!
Fallen by Lauren Kate. Just wasn’t my thing.
Hmm maybe The Edge of Never. I hated that book despite the glowing reviews on GR
Firelight by Sophie Jordan. And Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley.
Goddess by Josephine Angelini, but it wasn’t her writing, it was the mythology:)
Thank you:)
i’ve heard a good things about charley davidson series but i don’t love it just liked the first book …. i can’t explain i’m just not into it and i hated primal law( great disappointement)
Q9: Angelfall by Susan Ee.
One book/series that I don’t share the immense hype about is the Divergent series. I actually loved Divergent but then read Insurgent and was very put off by the whole direction of the plot and how the characters were developing… so much I still need to read Allegiant.
I usually don’t keep reading a book if I’m not enjoying it.
Definitely The 5th Wave. Everybody else LOVED it while I was all meh about it.
The most notable title everyone else loved that I didn’t care for is probably “The Hunger Games.” I knew where the whole trilogy was going from day one and didn’t care to continue. Just wasn’t for me. 🙂
I haven’t read any popular books yet, but I don’t care for the Divergent series. I don’t understand the Hype, maybe if I read it but I don’t really know what its about. All I know is fractions (or however you spell it)
Definitely Delirium by Lauren Oliver, really don’t see what all the hype is about.
I really disliked city of Bones so much so that I couldn’t read any of the other books
I know many won’t agree with me but for me the Divergent series is greatly overrated. It’s not that I did not enjoy it but I thought that it was nothing special
Wither by Lauren DeStefano, Book one of the Chemical Gardens series. It looked good but I don’t think it was a good story and I can’t understand the relationship between the main character and kitchen boy I could see them being friends but the love story between them really didn’t make sense to me.
Yes, the book I didn’t really care for was The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer. Not sure why but, I didn’t really like it. I stopped halfway through book 2 almost 6 months ago and just never finished it. i know a lo of people have loved it so, maybe I’m weird haha.
Brittany
I agree with Sandra… Delirium by Lauren Oliver was horrible.
Same opinion like Sandra and Jen – Delirium book
I see others share my opinion. I read Delirium, and I did not care for it. It wasn’t HORRIBLE, but I didn’t even read the next two books, and that tells you something.
So, I feel like Fangirl is very popular in the book blogging community. I liked it, but it wasn’t a 5-star read for me like it was for so many others.
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. It was a good book but not worth that hype
I read The Selection and nearly chocked myself. (Sorry to The Selection fans!) The characters just.. ugh…
I heard about Derlirium and Shatter Me but I’m too scared to read them since some of the bloggers I know hated them.
Stormdancer – I just couldn’t get into it and I think I’m the only one!
Day 9: The Pact by Jodi Picoult
Yes, Fangirl. I read over 200 pages and just could not take anymore. I’ve never read fan fiction so I couldn’t relate to Cath. She just seemed whiney & pathetic.
I just couldn’t get into Beauty Queens by Libba Bray.
I feel like The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes didn’t get enough attention or buzz.
Yes, two books that I never heard much about but blew me away: If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin and Absent by Katie Williams.
Transparent by Natalie Whipple! When Epic Reads pulled it during an ARCParty they’d yet to hear about it, and to my recollection have yet to mention it since it’s May release, It’s a REALLY fun read (I’ve already read it twice!) and I try to recommend it whenever I can. If you haven’t read it, definitely give it a try! And just in case you need any more convincing, here’s my review for your perusal: http://scribblerskye.blogspot.com/2013/06/review-transparent.html
Long Live the Queen I think is a book that got no publicity and should have. It was a great series and I’m sad to see it end.
Day 10: I LOVED Amber House but not many people have read it. Sanctum is gaining momentum but that is still underread IMO. I also really loved Kindness for Weakness.
There are a few. Inhuman by Kat Falls was fantastic, but I haven’t seen it a lot around the blogosphere. The Immortal Empire series by Kate Locke is adult fiction series that is one of my absolute favorites, and deserves so much more attention than it has gotten
Just Like Fate by Cat Patrick and Suzanne Young. It’s gotten pretty good reviews, but it just didn’t receive a lot of widespread attention.
Gosh tough one! I have found out about many books with blogger buzz. But I have to say either Elegy by Amanda Hocking, which I loved or Mother, Mother, which was pretty creepy!
Amy Spalding’s contemporaries, and Lovely Dark and Deep by Amy McNamara. Also I think Stephanie Perkins should’ve gotten a whole lot more publicity, as well as Miranda Kenneally and Brigid Kemmerer.
Thank you:)
There’re tons of books that didn’t get enough buzz in my opinion, like If He Had Been With Me by Laura Nowlin, Canary by Rachele Alpine, Bruised by Sarah Skilton, Gated by Amy Christine Parker..
Hmmmmm, right now the ones that strike as not getting as much both from publishers as other series are Angelfall & World After, they’re both such amazing books and despite the buzz from some book bloggers that love them, I barely saw any buzz otherwise!
The False Prince and The Runaway King by Jennifer A. Neilson
Eon by Alison Goodman. Such an amazing book but not enough buzz about it.
Definitely afternight academy didn’t get enough buzz
Unwind by Neal Shusterman, including the rest of the series.
Deception? I want!! back to the question… it(s an older book ” the hobb bargain” by patricia briggs that i feel is really not known enough and it deserve to be discovered
happy holidays
MaddAddam.
The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer. I know it’s been on the Best Sellers list but you rarely ever actually hear things about this series.
Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter.
Well, I always feel like “Spindle’s End” by Robin McKinley needs more buzz because it’s one of my all time favorites. This year, I think “The Last Dragonslayer” could have used more buzz. I know it got plenty compared to lots of titles, but I thought it was so much fun and not enough people have picked it up. 🙂
I really enjoyed The Gypsy King by Maureen Fergus, but I feel like I never saw too much buzz for it, which is too bad b/c it’s quote fantastic!
The Burning Sky definitely deserves more buzz!
That didn’t get enough buzz: Probably SIX MONTHS LATER by Natalie D. Richards…I barely hear about it on the interwebz, but I liked the book and the author was super nice. Also, it may just be me, but Parallel as well. Lauren Miller is amazing!
I love The Sundered and I don’t think it had enough publicity.
I think the Little Brother series by Cory Doctorow needs loads more recognition!
Taste by Kate Evangelista
I’d love a trip to Disney World or a kitten for Christmas. But realistically, I’d love to get a signed copy of Allegiant. Our local bookstore had some and I dropped about a million hints.
What I really want for Xmas? A way to teleport myself easily back & forth to India so I can spend more time with the bf! That or finally finding a place somewhere in the world where the economy is not crap and we can finally move together!
The gift I really want for Christmas is signed books from my favorite authors and gift cards for more books. 🙂
Always the same answer, gift cards to buy books.
A new phone! Mine is pretty old. The battery dies quickly, and the OS can’t keep up anymore. My bookish want is an ARC of Cress and/or Evertrue by Brodi Ashton. 🙂
Barnes & Noble gift cards!! Mama needs new manga in the new year! XD
Which Manga do you read? I’ve not read any in years.
A tablet! (which, I know I got, because I helped pick it out)
I couldn’t be happier. Well, I could be, but I couldn’t be much happier.
Q11: I would love love love a laptop for Christmas, but probably won’t get one this year 🙁
A Keurig so I can make single cups of my favorite coffees and teas to drink while snuggle up in my chair to read! 🙂
Hmmm. The only thing that I honestly want for Christmas is books. That is usually what I want!
not to be forgotten… the actual gift isn’t that important ( though book or stuffed animal are on top of my list) but i hope i won’t be forgottn with all that happened lately i’m the only at home to have gone shopping and i do want my little part under the tree
Oh, I’m sorry you’ve had something happen in your family. I hope everything gets better.
it’s improving thank you but my mother will take time to recover her mobility completely but we had the best xhristmas eve ever! so i’m delighted!!
I have no special gift requests this Christmas, so any book and hanging out with my friends and family will be perfectly enough. 🙂
Kindle!!
Thank you:)
A kindle e-reader
There’s not a whole lot of gifts I’m hoping for–I’m just excited to go home and see my dog! BUT, if I was going to pick a gift, I would definitely say the new Harry Potter paperback box set!
BOOKS
Since there are some books coming out next year that I want to read I’d like some Amazon gift cards.
I’d really love the rest of Marvel’s Dark Tower series!
Books, books, and a ton of books obviously! ;D
But hey, having an eReader would be nice too.
Socks. 🙂
books or money to buy books and an Nintendo 3DS
Books! An Amazon gift card would be awesome
Well other than books, I would love to get a new phone! 🙂
Giftcards to buy books!
I would really like a new Kindle Paperwhite. My current Kindle is a few years old and has a crack in it and the power button doesn’t work anymore!
Brittany S
ooh, I hope you get one! Power button is very much needed on a Kindle.
kindle, camera, books lol and sleep 😀
Yes, SLEEP. I could use many, many hours of sleep. 🙂
I’m most excited for The Winner’s Curse obviously. ;D
The Winner’s Curse!! It’s exactly my kind of read and I’m DYING to get my hands on it. Thanks for this epic giveaway!
Definitely Cress!!

A Star Swept Sea by Diana Peterfreund!!!
Q12: Her Dark Curiosity and The Winner’s Curse!! <3
Definitely The Winner’s Curse!!
I’m really looking forwards Deception! ( oki i still neeed to get book 1 first too but at least that one i know^^) but i didn’t had time to check all the arc i never heard off before yet so perhaps one will get more interesting after^^
Definitely all of them but Her Dark Curiosity sounds really wonderful:)
Thank you:)
The most excited about all the ARCs? The most most most will have to go to The WInner’s Curse, though I was also very excited to see Avalon & Cress!!
Thanks a lot for this super fun giveaway! =D
I’d have to say The Winner’s Curse and Independent Study! They both look super good! 🙂
The Winner’s Curse , A Star Swept Sea and of course Cress! 🙂 Happy Holidays!!
I am dying for Cress!! I would probably cry if I won all these haha! Fingers crossed! Thanks for the chance to win!
Brittany
I’m most excited for Avalon and Cress!
Dark Curiosity
Q12: CRESS. Hands down!
The Winner’s Curse!
Probably Cress and Across A Star-Swept Sea. 🙂
Cress!!
I need HER DARK CURIOSITY by Megan Shepherd it will be the most awesome thing ever!
I’m definitely most excited for The Winner’s Curse and Cress. I can’t wait to read them!
Which of the Arcs we are giving away are you most eager for?
Definitely: The Winner’s Curse is my first choice. I’ve been dying to read this book and I think the cover is simply amazing.
My second choice would be Cress.
Thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway and Merry Christmas!! 🙂
Hmm I would have to say Cress and Cruel Beauty 🙂 Thanks so much!!
Definitely super excited for The Winner’s Curse and Avalon.
I’m excited for a lot of these ARCs(I think all but 2 are on my wishlist already!) but if I had to pick one, it would be CRESS for sure!
Cruel Beauty and The Winners Curse 🙂
Day 12: Cress!!!
Her Dark Curiosity!!!
Q: What is your favorite Christmas carol/song?
A: Carol of the Bells! It’s got a spooky tone to it that I just love (which I know sounds weird for Christmas, but that’s just the way I am ;).
Thanks for this opportunity! I had no idea how I missed the day, but it’s nice to be able to fill it in. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
Q9: Harry Potter and The Hunger Games. I know everyone loves them but I just didn’t care for either series. The firstHG was okay but it slowly sucked more and more :/ *hides&
The Hunger Games, I wasn’t really a fan of the series.
Q12: The Winner’s Curse!!! And also Cruel Beauty.
Q10. I feel like The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna wasn’t represented enough and because of that I feel like readers were cheated out of another book to answer all the unanswered questions that the book left off with because of an open ending.
There were a handful of series ending this year that I was sad to see go. I haven’t started on Allegiant yet, but I though Champion (Legend), If I Should Die (Revenants), Elegy (Hereafter), Boundless (Unearthly), and Goddess (Starcrossed) were all gorgeously written final books that closed out their series well.
Day 3: favorite Christmas song is What Child Is This
My favorite christmas gift was a very nice perfume from my parent with my name ingraved on the bottle. I didn’t know that I would receive this (I knew about the other presents) and I loved it 🙂
Christmas Blues! (Fiona Apple owns this song, imho.)
Bonus Question Day 5:
The third Throne of Glass installment,
A Grimm Warning by Chris Colfer.
Cress by Marissa Meyer.
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.
Flights and Chimes and Mysterious Times by Emma Trevayne.
The third Mirrorworld installment by Cornelia Funke.
The second Elemental Trilogy installment by Sherry Thomas.
Day 12’s Q: Definitely Cress and The Winner’s Curse! 🙂
Day 12: I definitely am looking forward to reading Cress the most!
Bonus question: Did a series end? Yes, the Prophesized series by Kaitlyn Hoyt. Did I like how it ended? I don’t know yet, I haven’t let myself read the last book, I’m too afraid of how it will end!
Day 1 question: I was really hoping to see an ARC of Dorothy Must Die or The Chapel Wars. Not sure “Dorothy” has ARCs, but I know The Chapel Wars does and it’s one of the books I’m definitely looking forward to in 2014.
Day 12: Avalon
Day 9 Question/Answer: THE HUNGER GAMES. I just can’t
Extremely eager for Awaken by Meg Cabot. Read her previous books & love her writing style. She has developed and changed it a lot through the years.
I don’t have any book resolutions.
Day 7: Precious Stone Trilogy (Ruby Red) by Kerstin Gier
I really liked how it ended. Great Trilogy.
I’m most excited about Cress and Cruel Beauty. They are all ready great books and it’s amazing of you ladies for hosting this giveaway. Even if I don’t win, thanks for doing this!
Independent Study, can’t wait! Series that ended, Gallagher girls, United We spy by Ally Carter and it was a perfect ending.
Honestly, I really wanted a car this Christmas. 😀
