20 Things About Me

After reading Octavia’s post inspired by Consuming Worlds I decided that this might be fun to do. Then with some peer pressure by Octavia and Pili on Twitter I decided I would…so here it goes.

1. I have never been in a physical fight.

2. My P.E. teacher in junior high let me sit on the sidelines and read instead of playing volleyball. Yes, I was that bad.

Dragons of Autumn Twilight (Dragonlance Chronicles #1)Dragons of Winter Night (Dragonlance: Chronicles, #2)Dragons of Spring Dawning (Dragonlance: Chronicles, #3)

3. My first ‘chapter’ book was Dragonlance Chronicles which contained Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night and Dragons of Spring Dawning

4. I worked in a music store called Warehouse Music to see if it was like the 90’s movie Empire Records. It was not, though still was a blast.

5. I have a bachelors in Communications

6. My first job out of college was at ADV Films working in marketing. ADV Films hired voice actors and produced dubbed over versions of Japanese animes. It was such a fun job and was where I met my husband. While working there I developed and was in charge of the Anime ADVocates program which sent out samples DVDs to school anime clubs. Click here to be embarrassed on my behalf.

7. My favorite anime is Fruits Basket (my first love triangle) followed by Outlaw Star (neither dubbed by my former employer)

8. Now I am a stay at home mom

9. I am a photographer (hobbyist)

10. I used to paint/draw until I found that I loved photography more.

11. I worked in photo-labs in high school and college.

12. I wanted to be a marine biologist all through middle school. I only recently realized I am terrified of the open ocean

13. My husband is an amazing artist (digitally and painting). You’ve seen some of his work in our Lego Cover art feature.

Yes! I’m so flipping happy you decided to do this post! I told you before I wanted to know you better and I was genuine in saying that. Thank you so much for this!

*I forget my age ALL the time! Nice to know I’m not alone in my forgetfulness. 😉 *

I am very good at forgetting dates especially. My husband and I forget our wedding anniversary EVERY year. So happy you enjoyed this…it really is fun to learn more about our fellow blogger friends. I wish everyone would do this post 🙂

Sorry/notsorry for the peer pressure! =D
I loved reading this! You’re also a lover of photography! It’s great to learn a bit more about my blogging friends!
And so cool that you worked at a record store and with an anime company!
Funnily enough I also need to think about my age when asked, I sometimes will say the age I was before the most recent b-day or the age I’m gonna be after the next one if it’s close by!

Both jobs were a lot of fun 🙂 Granted, I enjoy my present career the best. I haven’t really shot many pictures (other than Legos) lately. What type of pictures do you enjoy taking? I’m mostly a nature photographer.

I’m a huge fan of macro photography! I love taking close ups of things and I’ve also done a lot of food photography with my cupcakes! And I’ve already done some wedding photography for by besties! =D

Oh man, I love Fruits Basket and Outlaw Star. It reminds me of coming home from school and planting my butt in front of the TV to watch Toonami on Cartoon Network *sigh* those were the days.

Earlier this year I started reading the Fruits Basket manga and realized that the anime only covered the first eight or so volumes…and there are twenty-three in total! If you haven’t read the manga, I highly recommend it. I always felt that the last anime episode never fully explained everything and left you in limbo about who Tohru would eventually choose (Team Kyo all the way!).

I have some of the manga but haven’t read the majority of it…I NEED to. The show cut off and left us all hanging. the manga has just been raised on my to read list. Must get to it SOOON> Thanks Christina!
