Cover Reveal- Mortal Gods by Kendare Blake+Giveaway (INT)

Kendare Blake’s books are some of my favorites, her Anna series was gruesome, horrific yet heartfelt. The first of her newest series, Antigoddess continued with Kendare’s beautiful descriptions and incredible story telling. I am beyond thrilled for the next book, Mortal Gods. The cover is a departure from the first book’s cover. I really loved the cover of Antigoddess but I do like this one since it has a person in it…Lego Cover Art possibilities. What do you think?

MortalGodscover

What better way to introduce a new cover than to hear from the author herself. Here’s Kendare with some of her thoughts about the Mortal Gods cover as well as an exclusive on the title of book 3:

So, as some may already know, MORTAL GODS was originally titled ARISTEIA. An aristeia is a moment in epic poetry where the hero is untouchable. Where they kill more than ever before, and with more flair and brutality. Where they are almost a god. The aristeia of the title would have referred to Cassandra, who is going through many ch-ch-changes as she attempts to recover from her loss at the end of Antigoddess and come to terms with being a weapon. The god killer. So it’s fitting that Cassandra is featured on the cover of Mortal Gods. Sure, she’s not blond, but the blond sure does look great with those golds and browns, so I’m not complaining!

Athena on the first cover and Cassandra on the second. But who does that leave for the third? Which, sneak preview here, My Friends are Fiction readers, may be titled UNGODLY.

Cover Reveal for Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott

I have the honor of posting Victoria Scott’s next book’s cover. I can’t wait to read this one.

Fire & Flood

Summary (via Goodreads):
In a perilous race across the world, having the best Pandora can be the difference between life and death.

Sixteen-year-old Tella Holloway isn’t happy. Her mother rushed them out of Boston and into a craptastic house nestled in Middle of Nowhere, Montana. To make matters worse, Tella’s brother is sick, and though a dozen doctors can’t determine the cause, her mother is sure Montana’s “fresh air” will help. Now Tella spends her days being homeschooled, and uses her imagination as entertainment.

But when a small blue box appears on her bed, Tella’s world is rocked. Inside the strange package she finds a white ear bud—and after she fits it into place and touches its blinking button—an unknown voice fills her head. Tella is invited to join the Brimstone Bleed, a race across four ecosystems: desert, sea, mountains, jungle. The voice in Tella’s ear explains she has 48 hours to retrieve her Pandora, an animal genetically designed to help her win.

Tella has never been the sporty type; she’s more a cheerleader than an athlete. But despite her mother’s warnings, she’s determined to compete in the race. And she’ll do anything to win, because if Tella is the Brimstone Bleed victor, she’ll be granted a specific gift—the cure to save her brother’s life.
