If I Could Rule Westeros + a Falling Kingdoms Giveaway

You might know this about me but I’m a HUGE fan of fantasy. It was the first genre I connected to as a reader and I will always have a soft spot for it. When it comes to fantasy I am happiest in complex worlds with many characters. I love to see many point of views but really…give me fantasy and I’m happy.

To celebrate the upcoming release of Frozen Tides by Morgan Rhodes (next in the Falling Kingdoms series ) we are talking about fantasy worlds we love. If you’ve not read this series or somehow don’t own these beautiful books yet you are in luck! Below I have a giveaway for the first 3 books.

Now…to the fantasy land I’d conquer…

Who wouldn’t want to rule Westeros? Ok, in reality it would put you directly in the cross hairs of some of the most evil and vile characters in the fantasy realm BUT you’d be able to sit upon the iron throne.

I do think I’d look amazing sitting there. Very regal…and very uncomfortable. Well, I’d have dragons right?

Oh. I forgot only Daenerys has any AND I’m not a Targaryen so they’d most likely eat me. The more I’m thinking about this the less eager I am to rule Westeros.

I think for me the best fantasy worlds are those I’d NEVER want to live in. I’ll visit while reading but I’ll take my cozy house and all the comforts of technology. Speaking of cozy house I can think of one fantasy place I’d live (only after the ring incident is over though)- THE SHIRE. I’m even short so would fit in fairly well with the local population.

Would you want to rule or even live in a fantasy world? If so which one?

Both fantasy and historical fiction had me staying up way past my bedtime as a kid. In middle school my grandma gave me an illustrated copy of “The Hobbit” and ever since I’ve been seeking out new fantasy series. I hope I win the giveaway. If not, I’ll definitely be checking the Falling Kingdoms serious out at the library!

I agree completely! Pretty much all of the fantasy worlds I love from books..sounds horrible to live in haha. Except for maybe Harry Potter Universe but after Voldemort is defeated lol.

Westeros is one of the last fantasy Kingdoms I’d want to live in! I’d just wind up dead. If I was going to live in a fantasy world Id want magic. Yes, I’d give up modern technology for magic. :)

Oooo I really like Falling Kingdoms, I need to read the rest of the series before Frozen Tides come out, though!! I would never freaking live in Westeros even though I love the series bc I would instantly die. I agree with you, that’s what makes it so appealing to me – as it’s so different to my everyday life. My favourite to visit would still be the standard stock answer of Hogwarts, haha.

I would be too afraid to rule Westeros! It’s a cruel world.

I haven’t heard of this series before, but I am totally checking it out, thanks!
