My October TBR Pile

RoryGilmoreGirls

Hip, hip hooray for October! I’m always eager for this time of year and this year is no different-especially with Gilmore Girls on Netflix! Who’s not enjoying that? My plans for Tuesday when Brennan is in school? Watching a marathon! I’m super excited. This show broke my heart in so many ways but it’s also just so perfect.

I’ve gathered up the books that I hope to be able to read this month. I’m pretty excited about my pile since it includes some of my most anticipated books for this year *cough, Mortal Heart, Cough*

Would you like to see?

Pretty pile of books isn’t it? I’m more than half way into  Stitching Snow and enjoying it though it hasn’t blown me away. My expectations had been lowered significantly with all the poor reviews I’ve been seeing. It’s really not that bad but it hasn’t presented any new material I’ve not seen before. It’s worth the read. Last night I felt the urge to start This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner. It’s wonderful! I’ve actually finished it after staying up rather late to read it. Once I started I didn’t want to stop.

Other things that you can expect this month…

  • Blog Tour- Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth, Review and Giveaway October 8th
  • Thrills and Chill Tour- hosted by The Midnight Garden. Guest Post by Jonathan Stroud and Giveaway October 13th

And the big question…will I be able to FINALLY share the Heir of Fire Lego Cover Art? That is to be seen. I’ve been so busy in my RL I’ve had no time to even take the photographs yet. I meant to this last weekend but I forgot.

I loved This Shattered World too! I’m so fascinated by this world and can’t wait for book 3 now. (But, omg, aren’t Tarver and Lilac AMAZING?! I was grinning like a fool during a couple of scenes with them. :D)
I enjoyed Stitching Snow more than most – there’s nothing really new, but I had fun reading it (which is sometimes all I need)
Mortal Heart is awesome! No surprise.
I hope to read Made for You at some point too. Oh, and I definitely need to catch up with Guards of the Shadowlands. 🙂
    Happy reading, lady!

I’ve been meaning to read Made for You but just haven’t had the time. Hopefully you enjoy this one! But I desperately must read Rooms. I want to see how Oliver fairs as an “adult” writer. So far I haven’t exactly been blown away by her YA works, although I’m in the minority. I have high hopes for this on though. The premise sounds right up my street. Happpy reading!! 😀

I have been seriously thinking of reading Talon but I don’t know whether it’s worth it or not. I haven’t seen that many reviews so I’m looking forward to yours.
Hope you have fun with all the reads 🙂

Whoa! What a gorgeous selection of books to read! TALONNNN OMG! I want that pretty so badly—that will be my Halloween need-to-read read, if that makes any sense. Made For You is also part of my October TBR and really, the cover is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! I can’t wait to hear what you think of all of these pretties, especially Rooms!

Yey! I love fall as well :D. I was going to try to get a couple of things read before jumping in to my November books, but I worry that if I put them off I’ll end up feeling stressed, so why not just read them all right now and be ahead eh? 😀 So with that, to Mortal Heart we go!
