Stacking the Shelves

This last week my little one was sick so it was a bit of a struggle because I hate seeing him in pain and lack of sleep. I didn’t get much reading or blogging in but he’s on the mend so things are getting much better around here.

On to the newest additions to my shelves. Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

Aw, so sad your little one wasn’t well. THAT IS THE WORST. I hate it when my niece/nephew get sick, it’s just awful, especially when they can’t even explain what hurts and everything. :'( Glad things are looking up though!

Oooh, Shadow Scale! I’m trying to decide whether to request it or not. It’s been like 2 years since I read Seraphina and I need to reread but I don’t have time and agghhhh. xD I am rather desperate to know how it ends, though.

I have a copy of Every Last Word and I cannot wait to get to it! Mental illness itself is so underrepresented in YA, and it’s even harder to find a book about the less “pretty” mental illnesses. I’m hoping it’s handled with grace and care.

Oh wow, I didn’t realize there was a companion book to the DUFF! I have heard a bunch of good things about Six Feet Over It. Happy reading.

Oi, poor kiddo! I do hope he’s feeling better now!
Shadow Scale and The Shadow Cabinet! I got the eARC of Shadow Scale and I’m nearly halfway with it! I’ll have to wait for a bit before getting Shadow Cabinet because of the book buying ban, cannot wait to hear what you’ll think of both!
    Happy reading, Kristen!

Ahh yay Shadowscale! I actually haven’t read Seraphina yet but it seems that everyone who did has been waiting for the sequel for years.

I received Every Last Word for review as well and I’m hoping that I like it — I’m not a big contemporary fan but I requested it because it seems interesting.

    Great haul!

    Hi lovely!
Im glad to here your son is getting better! Kids are a handful but sick ones are more heartbreaking than anything since you can’t fix it. This is a great haul though. I have not yet read Seraphina (i did just purchased it) and I have Shadow Scale to review so yay for marathon reading! I also purchased Duff since it looks tooo funny even though its not usually my type of read. Hope you have a good week girl!
