Stacking the Shelves

Since November there have been a good amount of things going on in my personal life and I keep hoping that things will settle down. Maybe now?

Spring is supposedly on the way though the weather around here can’t seem to decide if it would rather be summer or winter. A good thing that’s come about is that my husband started a new job that he’s loving. So yay to that! This next week is my kiddo’s spring break which I can’t believe. No family plans so I’m hoping we can enjoy some calm and lazy days.

This last week brought me some epic book mail. Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

For Review (solicited)

  VengeanceRoad

VRmap VRgun

Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman.

I am THRILLED to have this in my possession. Look at that cover! The map! The little gun! I can’t express how beautiful this book is. I can’t wait to own the hardcover because if the ARC is this pretty I can’t imagine how the finished copy will be.

wildgirl thefixer

The Wild Girl by Kate Forsyth and The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

I love both of these authors so much I can’t wait to read both of these. I might have danced upon receiving these.

For Review (unsolicited)

anythingcouldhappen
Anything Could Happen by Will Walton.

I don’t know anything about this one but I’m excited regardless. I’m trying to expand my reading horizons so this looks like a good one to try.

Purchased

falconerUK Storyspinnerbook

The Falconer (UK hardcover) by Elizabeth May and The Storyspinner by Becky Wallace

I am so happy to complete my collection of The Falconer. I can’t wait for The Vanishing Throne to release. The Storyspinner is a new favorite and I had to buy the hardcover. I hope to go to the release party next week!

I hope you love Storyspinner when you read it! I read Bitter Greens last year (same author as Wild Girl) and I adored her writing so I’m so excited.

Also, Frannie– I visited your blog and for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to comment :-/ I have no clue why it wasn’t letting me but I’ll try again.

March has started rather excitedly for me, because last Wednesday I got to visit my apartment for the first time, so I’m super excited!! I cannot wait till I get to officially sign all the papers and get my keys!!

Hooray for Vengeance Road! It looks so amazing!! I cannot wait till I heard what you think, because it sounds fantastic!

I also need to get me a UK edition of The Falconer!

    Happy reading!

My March has been great! I’ve started my blog event that runs all month and even though it’s a little stressful, I’m having such a great time featuring equally great authors.

I don’t think i got anything this week, actually, which is fine. I’m already so booked on the books I have to read so it’s nice to not get anything for once XD

Such gorgeous books this week Kristen 😀 I hope you will love them all. <3 SO curious about Vengeance Road 😀 It looks amazing! So happy for you that you got it. <3 And yay for The Storyspinner 😀 So pretty. <3 BUT OHH! Help! Where did you buy the UK hardcover of The Falconer? 🙂 I had the paperback only.. but need the hardcover too. But bookdepo has removed it for me; can't order it 🙁 Anyway. Happy reading sweetie. <3 I'm crossing all my fingers that things will go better for you very shortly. <3

Great haul, girl! I can’t wait to see what you think of Vengeance Road. That cover is just so amazing, and the synopsis has me excited (but a little worried too :P)
Yay for The Storyspinner! And I hope to try The Falconer later this year when book 2 is released. 🙂

    Happy reading!

I COULD HAVE SWORN MY COMMENT FROM YESTERDAY POSTED D: It was a really lengthy one too. UGH. I CAN’T REMEMBER WHAT I SAID. Good thing I came back to check to see if you replied – I would have never known! Anyway… I’m curious about Vengeance Road! I just read Forged and the whole series was okay in general, each one got 3 stars from me… I definitely will be looking out for Bowman’s future novels! I don’t really like Westerns so I’m iffy about Vengeance Road but I might give it a whirl. I hope you enjoy it – and all of your new books!

Have a fabulous week, Kristen 🙂
