Stacking the Shelves

A while back I decided that I wanted to take control of my TBR pile and really think long and hard before I submitted requests. I successfully limited what I wanted but now the mail has really slowed down on the publisher front. If it weren’t for trades trickling in I’d not have much of a haul this week at all. I miss the review books but I will say that my stress and my TBR pile is fairly tiny.

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

UK Uprooted is Hardcover. It is very pretty. I love both covers…I think the US one might fit the story at tiny bit better? I don’t know. I had to own both.

I still haven’t decided which version of Uprooted I want to get. I’m in love with these colors and illustrations, but the other one is pretty too. Such a good book 🙂 Happy reading!

Such stunning books this week Kristen. <3 I hope you will end up loving all of them 😀 They look so gorgeous. Ugh, the UK ARC of An Ember in the Ashes is so beautiful! <3 I have yet to read the book.. as I fear I will hate it 🙁 But trying it soonish. Probably. I haven't been able to read in aaages 🙁 But yay for you not getting that many review copies, and having a smaller TBR list 🙂 Mine is just getting bigger, ugh. Though mostly eARCs. Well, only those right now. But so many.. and I don't feel like reading any of them :p Which is just the worst feeling there is. Sigh. But anyway. I hope you are having an amazing weekend sweetie. <3

Gooooddddddd it is SO painful seeing how beautiful the UK copy of Uprooted is. I need to go ahead and buy it but I REALLY SHOULD wait on it after all the money I’ve spent on books lately.

I can’t wait to read Glitter and Blood! I flipped through it and it has some crazy creepy artwork in there. I hope it’s awesome!

Because I review on this blog they send advanced copies for me to read. If you have a blog that’s the first step…then you can check into Edelweiss and Netflix for electronic advanced copies.

Good for you for paring back, if it was causing you stress. None of this should be stressful! Easier said than done, I know.

I loved Rebel Belle. The sequel, Miss Mayhem, was pretty good. I’m probably going to start Uprooted tonight.

I can’t wait to hear what you think of Uprooted. I really enjoyed it. I’ve heard wonderful things about Rebel Belle. At first the cover turned me off but I’ve heard so many good things…figure I’ll give it a go.

It’s actually on Twitter… #booksfortrade I’ve had pretty great luck so far. You do need to watch out for fishy folks because there have been a few.

Red Rising, An Ember in the Ashes and Rebel Belle are all ones I have on my TBR and would love to get to eventually. I actually have Angelfall and intend to read it this summer. Looking forward to that! It’s good that you have been able to chop down on that TBR pile of yours.
