Stacking the Shelves

I have been AWFUL at blogging this month. I’ve been doing holiday stuff and it’s also been one year since my grandfather passed away. He’s been on my mind a lot and I can’t help but think about what was going on this time last year. I think taking some time from the blog and allowing myself time to think and also veg in front of the TV has been therapeutic.

I’ve been reading but VERY slowly. I read Into the Dim and just started The Dark Days Club. I’ve been watching TV more than reading (oops). I watched all of Jessica Jones and Daredevil. I sort of don’t know what to do with myself now!

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

The Books

StS

It has been really slow here in regards to book mail. This is about two week’s worth. I’m so grateful to Kelly from Effortlessly Reading and Big Honcho Media for the A Thousand Night giveaway win! The hardcover is GLORIOUS. Also to Penguin for Where Futures End. The other two books were total surprises and I’m not sure yet what they’re about. I need to read the summary of each.

So how are you all doing? I feel so disconnected!

It’s important to take time off and love yourself when needed! 🙂 I hope you loved Jessica Jones??

The A Thousand Nights set is gorgeous, and I got Only Love Can Break Your Heart too! Let me know what you think of Where Futures End. I think the way Parker wrote it = very interesting.

I need to catch up with both Daredevil and Jessica Jones, sigh. And people keep saying I should try Sense8, too. How’re we supposed to read with all this good TV?

Sorry about the anniversary of losing your grandad. It’s especially hard around this time of year.

I’ve been in a huge slump recently so I also haven’t been blogging since last month. I almost stopped blogging because of it but I’m going to try again in the new year. The break really did help, and I have no posts going up this month too. I’m sorry to hear about your grandpa, the year after is always so hard, but I’m gad your break is helping a bit.
Have a good week and enjoy your haul!

*hugs* I have been quite similar in mood as you’ve been, I had to miss my aunt’s one year memorial because of work…
Jessica Jones was amazing, I still need to watch Daredevil but now that I get Netflix in Spain (finally!!) I’ll totally binge watch many more series once I’m done with my SW rewatches in preparation for The Force Awakens!
