Stacking the Shelves/Showcase Sunday

This post is both Showcase Sunday a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea and Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review. I only received one new book this week but it is one I’ve been hearing many great things about.

For Review (via NetGalley):

We Were Liars

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

This past week

  • Reviewed Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
  • I shared some blog stats from last year, this year’s goal and an international giveaway of World After by Susan Ee
  • Reviewed Red Rising by Pierce Brown

I am currently reading Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott and The Unbound by Victoria Schwab

How was your past week? Which books did you get?

I requested it on NetGalley but wasn’t approved for it, so looking forward to hear what you think!
Also, I can’t wait to hear your opinion of Fire & Flood! I’m quite excited for that book!

I’m hoping it’s very good. I’m not far into F&F but so far it’s interesting. I’m having the tiniest bit of trouble getting used to the main character’s personality but I think I’ll like it.

I feel like the only person who has no interest in We Were Liars. 🙁

Anywho, how are you liking Fire & Flood? I plan on starting that one next week. 🙂

Fire & Flood is okay so far…a tad juvenile so far but I’m hoping it’ll get more intense the further I read. Curious what you’ll think 🙂

I have We Were Liars and I think it sounds quite fascinating. I haven’t started it yet though since it’s not released until May…I don’t want to get too ahead. I hope you really like it though!!

I hope you enjoy WaL when you get to it! I know…I’ll hope to start it soon because I’m impatient but I’m sure I’ll wait a month or more.

I can’t wait to see what you think of Fire and Flood! I like the sound of We Were Liars, but I’m hoping to give Lockhart’s Boyfriend List a try first, seeing as though I have a copy. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts though. 🙂

I’ve not read any of Lockhart’s books before…very curious to hear what you think of Boyfriend List. I’m so so on Fire & FLood so far. The writing is not hitting me right at the moment. But hopefully it’ll improve for me.

I’m excited to check out We Are Liars! I haven’t read any E. Lockhart but I’ve heard a lot of great things. I just finished Cruel Beauty, which I really enjoyed. I do agree about how the romance was a bit weak though. Hope you enjoy your new book!

Looks like you had an awesome week sweetie. <3 Hope next week will be just as good 🙂 Happy reading 😀 I have seen one good review for this book. Cannot wait for you to read it; so that I'll know if I will like it as well, hih 🙂 Nervous about ending.. sigh.

I’m pretty excited to read We Were Liars, even though I wasn’t all that impressed with The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks. I liked the writing style, I just didn’t particularly care for the MC. Hoping that changes with her newest book. I haven’t started Fire & Flood yet, but I’m really looking forward to it. I love that she’s a Dallas author!

This is terrible, but I had someone write a very detailed spoiler of what happens in this book for me, hah. I couldn’t help it, I was wildly curious after seeing so many WTF reactions from friends! I hope you end up enjoying it, Kristen.
