Stacking the Shelves

Happy April! I’ve not been great at doing my weekly StS but instead of trying to round up all the books I’m just going to focus on last week’s mail.

I couldn’t wait so I already read Ever the Hunted. I sort of dropped all the things to read. It was a quick read and very immersive. I’m a tad worried where the story left off and what it will mean for book 2. Gah! I won’t be happy if this one thing happens and….sooooo long until I’ll find out. That’s the only problem with reading something so early. Makes the wait for the sequel even longer. I think Queen of Hearts might be the next out of these that I’ll dive in to. Right now I’ve started The Skylighter and I’m really enjoying it.

The Hot Pterodactyl Boyfriend book is way too funny. I guess I’ll try it but I have no clue if I’ll be able to make it through that one! Seems really silly but hopefully fun?

Eleven Things I Promised by Catherine Clark
Ever the Hunted by Erin Summerill
Queen of Hearts by Colleen Oakes
Away We Go by Emil Ostrovski
The Last Boy and Girl in the World by Siobhan Vivian
Please Don’t Tell by Laura Tims
Spark by Holly Schindler
Incriminated by M.G. Reyes
The Memory of Us by Camille Di Maio
Hot Pterodactyl Boyfriend by Alan Cumyn

How was your week? Read anything great?

Stacking the Shelves

Whew, it’s been AGES (a month) since I’ve done one of these. I’m not going to gather up all the books I’ve gotten over the month though (too lazy) so this will be just this week’s worth.

Eeee. So excited about this haul! 9 of them are unsolicited but I’m intrigued so I’ll give them a go. I am really excited about Dreamers Often Lie. Anyone read it yet? I think I’ll read And I Darken first. I’ve not had the best luck with White but I’m really, really hopeful I’ll love it. So many thanks to Random House, Tor, Scholastic, and Harper.

How have you been? Read any of the books I got this past week? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I hope you’re having a great February so far. It’s been pretty good over here…not much to report. I skipped doing a Stacking the Shelves last week so this will be for two weeks.

Thank you Harper Teen, Tor, Abrams, Rivet, Penguin, Grace and Brittany. I’m so excited for all of these books. I’ve already read The Forbidden Orchid (look for  my review soon) and am about half way through Riders.

What an excellent week in book mail! I was so excited to get an arc of Scarlet to add to my collection. It is stunning! I also love these Harper books. I don’t know a ton about any of them besides The Girl From Everywhere but I’m excited to give them a go. Have you read any? Pearl is from SkyScape and by an author I read for the first time this last year. I loved her book Sugar so I’m really excited to read this latest from her.

Last Week’s Posts

I actually posted a good amount this week! WHOOHOO. I think my blog slump has come to an end! So happy about that. I also did some reading this week. I read The Dark Days Club which I LOVED (and I’ll be on the tour so look out for that). I am nearly done with The Imposter Queen which has been a really quick read that I’ve loved. So yay to good books!

How was your week?

Stacking the Shelves- AHHH, Awesome Mail

I haven’t posted all this week because of Thanksgiving this past week. We had lots of family in town so I really haven’t done anything on the computer. I feel so rusty!! Even typing this feels odd. I haven’t been active on social media, my blog or commenting. I hope everyone is well and I’ve not missed anything significant. I miss everyone!

I hope all my US friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We did here though I’m about socialized out and think a few days of silence and alone time will do just fine for me. I say that but I imagine next week when everyone is at work and school I’ll be so lonely.

I didn’t have much time at all this past week to read but I did read Untamed (really enjoyed it) and made more progress in Their Fractured Light. I’m about half way through Frozen Tides too. I’m loving all my current reads lately.

This week was INCREDIBLE for book mail for me! I wasn’t expecting A Gathering of Shadows and I might have cried when I opened the package.

Thank you Tor, Harper, Bloomsbury and Kaye Publicity for the amazing mail this past week.

How was your week? What have I missed with all of you since I’ve been virtually absent from the book world?
