Lego Cover Art- Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers

When the cover for Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers was revealed I was ecstatic. It is absolutely beautiful and portrays the series beautifully. Not only that, but I was confident that it would make a wonderful Lego Cover. It ended up being one of the most time consuming  covers we’ve done but it was well worth it. I hope you enjoy

Veronica Rossi’s Into The Still Blue Cover in Blocks

Here at My Friends Are Fiction there is nothing we love more than great books, cover art and LEGOs. What could be better than our favorite covers redone in Lego? The answer–nothing.

This time we’ve done Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi. I hadn’t realized just how dark they had Perry’s hair on the cover until working on this but we decided to keep it close to the original cover rather than the description in the book.

This is the third and last in the Under the Never Sky series-you can see my thoughts on this final book here.
Our next cover will be from the highly anticipated book The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski–look for our Lego cover next month.

The Unbound Blog Tour-Lego Art

I am honored to be a stop on The Unbound Blog Tour. The Unbound is the second book in this series (fingers crossed for a third). If you’ve not checked out any of Victoria Schwab’s writing out you must. She is gifted at creating lush worlds with realistic and well developed characters. I’ve loved all the books I’ve read of hers (all but Vicious which I need to read soon).

For our stop here at My Friends Are Fiction we’ve recreated the cover of The Unbound with Lego. I hope you enjoy

Read my review of The Archived the first book of the series and look for my review of The Unbound later this week.

Doctor Who Week- The 10th Doctor as a Lego

I am so excited to be part of the Whovian fandom this week leading up to the 50th Anniversary episode, The Day of the Doctor. When I saw that Karen at Teen Librarian Toolbox was hosting a Doctor Who week I had to be involved. Head over to her site now to read all the Doctor Who posts (including one from me) and enter some giveaways. Not only have I written a post but my husband and I created ‘my’ Doctor as a Lego.
