Blog Tour- Renegades by Marissa Meyer Villains I Want Redeemed

Renegades-Blog-Tour-BannerAre you a renegade or an anarchist?

You can find out your super power in the Renegades world by taking this quiz. Be sure to let me know your results in the comments!

When asked the question of whether I leaned more renegade or anarchist I knew immediately that I was renegade. I love reading about villains but when it comes down to it I will always cheer for the side of good. I think the reason I love reading about villains and their histories is because I’m always looking for that sliver of good within them. I want them to be redeemed. I thought I’d list for you my top list of villains that I still hold out hope for one day they’ll come around¬† just imagine what they could do with their powers if working for the side of good!

Some spoilers below- mild but if you’ve not read the Shadow and Bone trilogy you might skip this next portion….

  1. Always The Darkling (from Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo). He is my favorite villain and I am always pondering his childhood and how he might still be redeemable. I love him so much and I need to read a novella all about his past (in great detail).
  2. Catwomen- is she really a villain? I think she has so much good in her that’s just waiting to show
  3. Dracula- have you seen the old movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula? It paints Vlad as a saddened, love sick guy that just wants to find his beloved. How bad could he really be?
  4. Jareth from Labyrinth- Ok, he is so not THAT bad. He could have been way worse and just because he lives with goblins it doesn’t mean anything. I think he has a real drive to live in the light.
  5. Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs- you know he loved Clarice in some way- he totally helps her out in finding the bad guy

Who are you favorite villains that you want to see come to the good side?

My November To Read Pile

How is it November? I can’t fathom how October is already over. I’ve yet to start any Christmas shopping and I still don’t feel overly festive. It’s been in the 70’s and 80’s around here so that could be it. I best start getting prepped because I’m having both sides of the family here for Thanksgiving. I think it’ll be 14 people? *passes out*

I’ve probably given myself too large a stack of books to read since I have so many other things I’m working on- My Friends Are Writers, Thanksgiving, prep for Christmas, life…just so much to do at this time of year. I do love it though.

I’ve already started a large amount of these but haven’t gotten very far. The Immortal Heights hasn’t really hit the reading spot. I keep picking it up but putting it aside. This distresses me since I loved the first two books. Why can’t I be loving this one?? I’m half way through Ten Thousand Skies Above You and so far it’s been a fun read. I decided to throw in The Book of Ivy FINALLY. My friend Regina gave this one to me ages ago but I’ve not had time to squeeze it in. With the sequel being out soon I figured I should get on it. I’ve heard great things. Have you heard of Dangerous Lies? I haven’t.

Posts for This Month

  • Reviews for Ten Thousand Skies Above You, Passenger and more
  • Blog Tour for Every Word: November 20th. I’m hoping to do a Lego cover for this one!
  • Lego Cover for Frozen Tides? I’m really hoping to get this one completed sooner than later.

What do you have planned from now until the end of the year? Can you believe 2015 is so close to being over?

My November TBR Pile

It’s November! The weather has cooled off here in Texas (at least for a bit) so it was a perfect excuse to throw in a Sherlock ‘putting his coat on’¬†GIF. We had a case of sick in our household so I’m a few days late on posting my upcoming reads. I’m very excited about the selection I’ve got this month.

Want to see?

I have already read An Ember in the Ashes and let me tell you- you’ll want to pre-order it. I was really amazed by how beautifully done it was. Even with my kiddo being sick and me lacking sleep I still managed to read it in a couple of days. I was completely mesmerized.

I somehow forgot to add Killer Instinct to my pile so I’ve got an additional picture because why not? I have just started this one. I’m hoping it’s as good as the first.

Random Updates:
I’ll be giving a copy of A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray away this week so be sure to keep your eye out for that. I also have started using Instagram. If you’re interested in seeing bookish pictures then give me a follow.
