Stacking the Shelves

Yep, it’s my monthly Stacking the Shelves. I seem to only do this once a month this summer. Maybe I’ll get better at it? Maybe not. I have so many awesome books and bookish things to share with you. I’m sure I’m forgetting stuff but here it goes…

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

Bookish Repping

On Instagram I am so lucky that I’m repping a few bookish business’ with their awesome products. I’m so honored and really it never loses the excitement. I wanted to share what I received this past month

Candles by Novelly Yours. These candles *happy sigh* My tenure will be up at the end of this month and I’m so so sad. But that means that if you want a discount of 10% you should get on it (use code MFAF10 on any purchase). My time with NY has been so incredible. Brittany is professional, kind, and amazingly creative.

And…I think that’s it! How are YOU? What are you reading? You might notice a fall theme to all my pictures- I keep thinking if I pretend it is fall the temperature here in Texas will drop. Sadly, that’s not been the case. Today the heat index was 120. Just no.

You can find more bookish pictures on my Instagram (where all of these were originally posted)

Stacking the Shelves- Such Exciting Books

Hi! How are you all doing? Everything is good here. My son starts first grade this Monday and oddly enough no one around here seems that nervous. I think he’s excited to go back. Ripley is growing like crazy and has finally had all her shots so it’ll be time for puppy training very soon.

I had some AMAZING news last week- Evie had a rep search on Instagram to help promote her designs and I was chosen to be a rep! I am so, so honored because all the entries were absolutely beautiful. I am still shocked and keep reading the announcement post to make sure it’s real.

Another bit of awesome for me- I had the opportunity to blurb a book! This has been my biggest blogger dream and it has come true. The book is The Valiant by Leslie Livingston and it is incredible.

My last one of these Stacking the Shelves was at the end of July so I’m posting most of what I’ve gotten so far this month. I’m forgetting a good amount I’m sure but these are the ones I’m most excited about.

There’s my blurb on the back! AHHHHHHHHH! I’ll never ever get over how cool that is. It says:

“Lesley Livingston’s The Valiant had me entranced from the first page with her vivid descriptions and kick-ass heroine Fallon.”

There’s a fuller blurb over on Amazon if you want to read it all plus all the other AMAZING blurbs from my fellow bloggers.

Stacking The Shelves

It has been so long since I’ve done a Stacking the Shelves post (since May !!!). I’ve really not gotten a ton of mail this summer and I’ve felt like I’ve had so very little time. We got a puppy and my kiddo is home so my time has been taken by fun family things. I find I am never sitting at my laptop and days go by without me even cracking it open. I imagine this is typical for summer-time. I can feel school ramping up and my desire to blog has been increasing. Hopefully, I’ll be posting more consistently from here on out!

New Rep Gig

So, I’ve been active over on Bookstagram for about 4 months now and I’m so so excited to be repping for a few lovely, creative types. I’m going to feature my latest- Novelly Yours. These soy candles are AMAZING. I have 4 of them and I love each and every scent. I do think Winter might be my favorite. I love that these candles are made by one of our very own bookish blogging folks Brittany over at The Book Addict’s Guide

Click on each image to go to each candle’s page on Novelly Yours’ Etsy Shop

Each of these candles smell divine and they burn clean since they are soy. I love that they don’t agitate my headaches (certain smells set me off). And, if you are tempted, you can get 10% off any order with the code- MFAF10

Giveaway

And one last thing! Last week the wonderful folks at Griffin Teen sent along a sampler of Wintersong- my latest bookish obsession (it was in part influenced by Labyrinth- the best movie ever). This book doesn’t release until early 2017 but I’m CRAVING it now. I read the first 40 pages and I loved it. So much so in fact that I thought I’d do a giveaway for a pre-order of the book. Click on the picture below to read more about the book and enter to win a pre-order (it’s an international giveaway too!)

I think that’s all my updates! It feels like forever since I chatted with you all- how are you? What are you reading?? I just finished The Shadow Hour and trying to figure out what to pick next.

Stacking the Shelves- What an Epic Week in Books

This past week all my bookish dreams came true with the help of some really amazing blogger friends and publishers. I am soooo excited by each of these books.

The Books

This week I was THRILLED to have the A Torch Against the Night ARC box land on my doorstep. The box contained the Torch arc plus an paperback copy of An Ember in the Ashes AND that beautiful cuff. What a great package Penguin/Razorbill made. I’m so in love with it. I’ve started to reread Ember since I first read it in 2014 and can’t remember lots of details. So far I’m just as enraptured as the first time.

The other goodies are a mix of publisher sent and from bloggy friends. I’m so excited for each of them-Gemina! Strange the Dreamer sampler (and those buttons!!)! The Graces! The Female of the Species! GAH, so excited about them all. I wish I could read faster. Have you heard of Spare and Found Parts yet? It looks FABULOUS.

Those cute little magnetic bookmarks are from Happy Hello! Art. I ADORE them and want moooore.

I have to include this picture of the Torch cuff and book. It’s one of my favorites I’ve taken recently for Instagram.

Stacking the Shelves

I feel like lately SO MANY amazing books have been releasing and my mail has been really spectacular. I am such a happy reader. I immediately had to start reading Caraval and A Shadow Bright and Burning. I’m not far in ASBaB but I’m more than half way through Caraval. It has been one of my favorite books I’ve read. Period. I’ll be starting The Sleeping Prince very soon. I’m so excited.
