February To Be Read Pile

It’s February! I can’t believe it. I think is say that EVERY month but time goes too fast. I can’t keep up. I feel pretty motivated this first day of the new month so hopefully it’s a really productive month.

I’m so sorry I didn’t link these books to Goodreads…I’m just way too lazy today!

The TBR Pile

So, I should probably hold off on The Rose and the Dagger since it won’t come out for months but I can’t resist. I’m about half way and I love it. I’m taking my time and savoring every word. I started Lady Midnight but I’m only a couple of chapters in. It is a HUGE book. I’m halfway through Reign of Shadows and it’s ok so far. I’m not loving it or hating it. We’ll see how the second half goes for me. And The Keeper of the Mist has been a slooooow going read. I read about a chapter a night before bed.

Blog Tours

This month I have several blog tours I’m taking part in.

  • 2/2- The Winner’s Kiss– I’ll be talking about my favorite literary kiss.
  • 2/3- Blackhearts– Nicole Castroman will be a guest on the blog.
  • 2/17- The Crown’s Game

Last Month’s Reads

The books without a rating are DNFs. I also reread The Falconer but I didn’t count it on Goodreads.

Top Ten Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR (inspired by Jamie’s New To The Queue posts)

I love the topic this week- top ten books added to your TBR. I recently perused ALA attendees pictures and found some books to add to my wanted books. I hadn’t heard of a few and a couple I hadn’t added yet though I thought I had (oops). The Rook is on there because of a friend that absolutely loooooves the series.

Top Ten Tuesday- 2016 Debuts I’m Eager For

Happy December! I can’t believe 2015 is nearly over already. I have been looking forward to so many 2016 books and now it’s right around the corner. Crazy how fast time flies.

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a different question is posed and gives us bloggers an opportunity to share our top tens on all different types of bookish topics.

Today’s topic is all about the 2016 debuts we are crazy eager for. I’ve been lucky enough to read a few 2016 debuts already so I’m including the books I have that I’ve not read yet.

Ack! I just realized I have The Girl Who Fell in there and I have read it (like a week ago). I’m leaving it because I’m lazy and it was a really well done and important book.

A while back I helped put together the #FAC16 chat* so you can check out more general info on debuts here. I highlighted the fantasy/historical/sci fi titles here and the contemporary, mystery and thriller debuts here.

Be sure to add these books to your TBR if you’ve not already. What debut books are you looking forward to?

My November To Read Pile

How is it November? I can’t fathom how October is already over. I’ve yet to start any Christmas shopping and I still don’t feel overly festive. It’s been in the 70’s and 80’s around here so that could be it. I best start getting prepped because I’m having both sides of the family here for Thanksgiving. I think it’ll be 14 people? *passes out*

I’ve probably given myself too large a stack of books to read since I have so many other things I’m working on- My Friends Are Writers, Thanksgiving, prep for Christmas, life…just so much to do at this time of year. I do love it though.

I’ve already started a large amount of these but haven’t gotten very far. The Immortal Heights hasn’t really hit the reading spot. I keep picking it up but putting it aside. This distresses me since I loved the first two books. Why can’t I be loving this one?? I’m half way through Ten Thousand Skies Above You and so far it’s been a fun read. I decided to throw in The Book of Ivy FINALLY. My friend Regina gave this one to me ages ago but I’ve not had time to squeeze it in. With the sequel being out soon I figured I should get on it. I’ve heard great things. Have you heard of Dangerous Lies? I haven’t.

Posts for This Month

  • Reviews for Ten Thousand Skies Above You, Passenger and more
  • Blog Tour for Every Word: November 20th. I’m hoping to do a Lego cover for this one!
  • Lego Cover for Frozen Tides? I’m really hoping to get this one completed sooner than later.

What do you have planned from now until the end of the year? Can you believe 2015 is so close to being over?

September To Be Read Pile

I can’t believe it’s September already (well tomorrow is). This is my birthday month though I don’t particularly enjoy celebrating it since it falls on September 11th. Beyond that, September has some of the most amazing books releasing- Six of Crows, Queen of Shadows to name a couple. I can’t wait to own both books. Obviously (sadly) I don’t own QoS yet so it’s not shown in my TBR pile but it’ll be read for sure. I imagine I’ll read it immediately to try to avoid being spoiled on the plot or romance.

I have also recently gotten into the Vampire Academy series so as soon as Shadow Kissed shows up I’ll want to jump into reading that as well. These books are so addictive and fast reads.

September TBR

This month I’ll be participating in the Blood and Salt blog tour (with a review and giveaway). I’ll be featuring a lot of reviews for the next few weeks because August and September seem to be the months publishers release ALL the books.

What do you plan to read this month?
