My Rating:

This is the second of a trilogy. You can see my review for The Burning Sky here.

After spending the summer away from each other, Titus and Iolanthe (still disguised as Archer Fairfax) are eager to return to Eton College to resume their training to fight the Bane. Although no longer bound to Titus by a blood oath, Iolanthe is more committed than ever to fulfilling her destiny‚ÄĒespecially with the agents of Atlantis quickly closing in.

Stacking the Shelves

Not a lot happened this week and I didn’t get all that many books. It’s been fairly slow around here and I’m pretty happy about that.

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

I apologize for the crummy pictures this week but I’m too lazy to take new ones

For Review (from the publisher- thank you Harper!)

The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas and The Jewel by Amy Ewing

I have already read The Perilous Sea and I really loved it. I’m reading The Jewel right now but I’m not far enough to know yet what I’ll think of it.

Shimmer by Paula Weston

I recently read Haze the second in this series and absolutely loved it (look for my blog tour post in September). I couldn’t wait so I had to order Shimmer. It hasn’t been released in the US yet but I couldn’t wait.

And that concludes all the new book this week. I did go to a book signing- Ben Winters at Murder by the Book. It was a great event and I was able to get the entire The Last Policeman series signed. I immediately loaned the series to my parents to read. If you’ve not heard about this book you can read my review of book one here. The highlight of the night for me was winning the loan bag of Hank Palace blend coffee.

Last Week’s Posts:

  • Review of A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall
  • Review of Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne
  • Blog Tour– Review of Alias Hook and Giveaway
  • Blog Tour– Interview with Amber Lough author of The Fire Wish and Giveaway

How was your week? Would you drink the won coffee or save it? I know it’s crazy but I’m debating what to do. The collector in me wants to save it but the coffee drinker wants to drink it all.

Stacking the Shelves

Last week I took some time off from posting here so I could use the time to read and catch up on writing reviews. I would say it was a success! I am only one book behind my reading challenge on Goodreads and I wrote eight reviews. I hope I can keep this momentum up since it feels great to be a bit ahead of the game.

This last week I read In the Shadows, Say What You Will, Free to Fall and The Murder Complex. I’ve written all but one of these reviews and will be posting them soonish. The Lego art is coming together beautifully. The Kiss of Deception is more than half done and should go live this week! Heir of Fire will take a bit longer, I’ve started but still haven’t photographed the Lego figures.

Now for the new additions from this last week. Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.
