Top Ten Tuesday- Authors I’ve Read The Most Books From

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week a different question is posed and gives us bloggers an opportunity to share our top tens on all different types of bookish topics. This week’s topic:

Okay. I’ve got to admit I was surprised when I brought up my Goodreads list. I don’t know what I expected but not these old series that I read before I even blogged. It’s strange to remember that I did read prior to blogging!

Without further ado-my list of top read authors…

MostReadAuthors

Charlaine Harris– not surprising since I read all those Sookie Stackhouse books up to the last one. I attempted to read it and ugh. Anyone like it? Should I try again?

I’m not surprised to see Mr. Gaiman on there either. Through college I read every single thing I could find with his name on it.

I had forgotten I’d read so many Amanda Hocking books. I actually really enjoyed her Trylle series way back when. Wasn’t there a spin-off series? If it’s good let me know.

Terry Goodkind is a fantasy author I really enjoyed back in high school. He wrote the Sword of Truth series (Wizard’s First Rule). I adore the first three books in that series and tend to do rereads every so often (oddly enough some of Queen of the Tearling reminded me of his books).

Margaret Weiss co-wrote the Dragonlance books and those were my very favorite fantasy books in junior high. I still have the fondest memories of these books.

I’m so not surprised to see Maggie, Sarah and Jane Austen on there. That last one cut off is Jennifer Lynne Barnes.

I actually checked my own list and was kind of surprised by it because there weren’t a lot of YA authors on my top 10 especially since I read more YA than anything else.

My most read author was Meg Cabot and GR said I’ve read 22 books by her!!! I was a little surprised since I haven’t even read her Princess Diaries series but I guess I do love Meg Cabot! πŸ™‚

I’ve also read 10 books by JLA which surprised me a little because it’s been so long since I’ve read anything by her O_O

Ugh. I’ll prob never read it. Wonder if j should sell the series at half price books πŸ™ I liked the first 4 but felt meh about the others.

I need to read the last 2 Sookie books so sorry, I probably can’t convince you to finish if I can’t do so myself. It’s really sad as I enjoyed that series so much in the beginning. You might want to check out the Midnight Texas series – I actually like it better and a few minor characters from Sookie make an appearance. Great list and thanks for sharing!

    Nice list!

I like Amanda Hocking, too, but didn’t realize she had so many books out! πŸ™‚ I’ve seen Jennifer Armentrout on several lists, but haven’t read anything by her yet. I’ll have to check out some of her books. Great post.

OOoh nice! I let Charlaine slip past me as her books aren’t in my room! LOL! I think I’ve read 17 of hers so that’s why I’m astounded I left her out of my post! Could’ve used Goodreads, but I’ve read a lot of these authors before I joined Goodreads and even before blogging. So there would be no “record” of it. But oh well!

Great list too! See lots of faves here! Even if I’ve only read single digits for them! πŸ˜‰

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

Charlaine would have topped my list too had I done this. Again, thanks to Sookie- but I also read a bunch of her other books. Basically, I have to beg you to leave the last book unfinished, because it filled me with so much rage I couldn’t even speak. It was my first FULL review on Goodreads because I was so stabby. Just thinking about it is making me mad again πŸ˜‰ Wow, I just checked, and I have read 29 books by her- well ahead of Lauren Oliver who came in next with 10! Cassandra Clare made mine with 6 also πŸ™‚

I’ve been seeing Neil Gaiman on everyone’s lists today, and it definitely reminds me how much I want to read more of his work! Pretty sure I’ve only read one of his books so far.

Love this post πŸ˜€ Gorgeous list Kristen. <3 Yay for reading so many books by awesome authors πŸ™‚ Cassandra Clare. <3 Maggie. <3 And ohh. The Sookie S. books. I peeked at the ending for the last one. SO DIFFERENT from the show. I won't read the books, lol πŸ™‚ But I did love the True Blood series. <3 Except for how it ended, ugh. But still. Loved it. Thank you for sharing about the authors you have read most books from πŸ™‚ Loved seeing it.

Ah yes, reading before blogging. When I first joined Goodreads, I went back and added tons of books I read as a kid and in high school, so my “most read” stats were full of those authors.

I was actually so surprised when I found out how many books Amanda Hocking was published! I think she was a self-pubbed author at first though, right? I need to read more of her books! I’m on my way to finishing her Kanin Chronicles and I find her a pretty good storyteller πŸ˜€ And I haven’t read a single book from Neil Gaiman either, which is a damn shame >_> I know he is talented and well-loved, so that needs to be amended, ASAP!
