A copy of this was sent to me in exchange for an honest review.

Step into a wintry wonderland with illustrator Mary Tanana’s intricate, gorgeous illustrations of Christmas magic, lovingly represented in this delicately rendered coloring book. From snowflakes to stockings, reindeer to wreaths, every aspect of the holidays is waiting to be brought to life through your creativity. With nearly one hundred pages of pen-and-ink drawings, the wintry coloring book fun will last you well into the new year!

My Thoughts:
I was so excited to receive this coloring book in the mail. I haven’t really gotten into the adult coloring trend just because I’ve not had that much time. Immediately when I got this book I grabbed my prisma colors and went to town. It was highly enjoyable though a bit meticulous (as is the point).

The drawings are wonderfully executed and I like that the details aren’t so tiny that it’s impossible to color. I didn’t find any difficulty using prisma colors or markers to color. Some images are more detailed than others and this gives a bit of variety to your coloring experience. I enjoyed the paper quality (my marker didn’t seep through) and the crisp lines. I’m not a fan of coloring books with grey tone shadowing and this one did not have that.

My biggest issue was trying to decide what color to make things. I have such a problem trying to stick to realistic colors so I found myself googling flower types to try and match how they’d look. Ha! I think someone with less desire for it to appear lifelike would enjoy the coloring experience more in general.

Final Thoughts:
I would recommend Christmas to Color to anyone with the desire to color during the holidays. Go into this book expecting many wreaths, happy phrases, snowflake imagery and florals (with some deer here and there)

I absolutely have been taking advantage of the adult coloring book trend. It has helped me so much with my anxiety. I actually did a full write up on 12 Holiday themed coloring books. Plus I have done a review of The Time Chamber by Daria Song and have 2 more coloring book reviews coming in the new year. I have a grand total of 5 now 🙂

Awesome review Kristen. <3 Thank you for sharing about this coloring book 😀 I really need to start coloring too. Sigh. I love that you are doing it 😀 YAY. But yeah. I'm not sure I would get this one, lol. Seems a bit boring. Yet pretty too 🙂 Glad you enjoyed coloring it, though. <3

First, can I just say that your coloring skills are AMAZING? Everything looks so perfect! And I totally get where you’re going with looking up each flower to see what color it is – I do that all the time with children’s coloring books. I personally don’t have the patience to color (I learned that over spring break when I tried coloring while watching TV) so I know adult coloring books won’t do it for me, but this definitely sounds like a great holiday gift for someone who enjoys the hobby!
