I would have to say CELL by Stephen King. It was really scary however I found I couldn’t put it down and ended up reading it in one night. πŸ˜€ And just recently I have been on a total zombie high where I have been watching zombie movies, tv shows and reading zombie books. I was reading one of Jonathan Marberry’s books with zombies and I kept hearing weird noises outside my window and it was totally freaking me out! πŸ˜€

I read Anna Dressed in Blood and absolutely loved it!! Haven’t read too many scary novels but definitely looking forward to reading more!!

  6. says

I need to read more scary books. I think I would have been too freaked out when I was younger. I love Gillian Flynn though, and her books are a bit creepy in a realistic way, esp. Dark Places.

  7. Jessica D says

I don’t think I have a favorite scary book but most of Stephen King’s books give me the willies and I love it

  8. sarah c. says

I cant think of a book that terrified me–but i will not read any clown books -they do scare me.. Dystopian books kind spook me out the most and leaves me with a what if…

  9. Kayla C. says

I just read Carrie by Stephen King to be ready for the movie in a couple weeks. I’m not usually a fan of horror, but I really enjoyed this one. Definitely creepy though…

  10. says

The Shining by Stephen King scared me absolutely to death. I had trouble walking past decorative shrubs for years because I knew they were going to whisper to one another and move behind me as soon as I was past. And staying in hotel rooms has certainly lost its appeal. Now I wonder what REALLY happened in the room I’m currently inhabiting. Thanks for the giveaway.

  11. says

Terrified is a strong word but I felt scared when I read Carrie by Stephen King… I know he is a great author but some of his books leave me freaked out. I read another one… I think it was called Cell and it had pretty much the same effect.
    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  12. BookAttict says

It by Stephen King…..and The Walking by Bentley Little.

I read Gerald’s Game by Stephen King when I was alone in the house and confined to my bed after knee surgery…not the best decision I’ve ever made. I still shudder just thinking about it. Thanks for the chance to win!

  14. Adelynne says

Hm… Honestly, no books have actually terrified me. That’s probably because I didn’t read Anna Dressed in Blood… XD
Anyway, a book that came close to making me feel terrified is Doctor Sleep by Stephen King. Stephen King is amazing! His plot twists remind me of the endings of Goosebumps, a series I used to read when I was younger. Anyway, I’m trying to find time to read Anna Dressed in Blood because I’ve heard a lot of positive feedback. I’m excited to see how scary it will be!

  15. Sarah says

I haven’t read too many scary books but I would like to read more so the scariest one would probably have to be The Madman’s Daughter. Thanks for the giveaway!

  16. Stephanie H. says

I love scary books, but I don’t know that I have ever found one truly terrifying. Scary movies on the other hand. . . there is a reason why I hate those! I love classic Agatha Christie murder mysteries, especially And Then There Were None. I also loved Interview With the Vampire. The Anna books were also great.

  17. Ciarra Balsomo says

My favourite scary read so far is The Shining by Stephen King πŸ™‚ Awesome book. I really need Doctor Sleep on my shelf right now πŸ˜›

  18. Krista says

The Downside Ghosts series has some spooky scenes. Especially when you listen to the audio version. Thanks for the giveaway!

  19. _Sandra_ says

Stephen King’s books are always on my list of the scariest ones, but I also have to go with Let the Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
    Thanks for a giveaway! πŸ™‚

  20. Amanda D says

I can’t remember the last book that scared me. I’ve been on a romance, vampire and dystopian craze for awhile. Before that I read a lot of mysteries so probably one of Tess Gerritsen’s Rizzoli and Isles books. Anything with serial killers scares me.

  21. Cohlina M. says

I don’t read scary books but Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children scared me. Thanks for the awesome giveaway! πŸ˜€

  22. Alfindy Agyputri says

  23. says

I have to say I don’t really tend to get that scared in books, but the scariest I’ve read is probably Dead Sky Morning by Karina Halle. That was seriously creepy.

I said Halloween thirst early. I forgot that at age 13 I was scared for months after watching the Excorist. to me that was the all time scariest movie and book which I read years and I means years later. Heck after reading the book I was still scared

  32. cali says

I see Stephen King’s book are the most popular choice. I’m no exception. Probably the book that I’ve found the scariest is King’s The Shining.

The book that terrified me the most in my life was “Inhuman Condition”, by Clive Barker, the creator of Hellraiser. I could barely sleep after reading that, and I am not easily scared! :O
