Stacking the Shelves

Hi guys! Tomorrow is Easter and April is wrapping up. Once again another month went too quickly. I hope you all are enjoying the (hopefully) spring weather.

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

For Review (via the publisher):

Take Back the Skies by Lucy Saxon

I know nothing about this book other than the brief summary. The cover and especially that title are amazing.

The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani, The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton, The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas and Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor

I’ve already read The School for Good and Evil and enjoyed it a good amount. I’ll hopefully have my review posted next week. I can’t wait to read the other three books. I’ve been anticipating Taylor and Maas’ books but The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender was a random purchase based upon the beautiful cover. I hope the story lives up to the title and cover art.

 Gift (thank you Krys!):

Falls the Shadow by Stefanie Gaither

Isn’t Dream of Gods and Monsters gorgeous?? I love that book even if I still haven’t managed to get past 30% of it… it’s being a bit evil to my poor already battered emotional state! But I’m hoping I’ll get to spend some quality time with it next week!
    Happy reading Kristen!

Thanks Pili! It is so beautiful in person.. I thought I’d drop everything to read it but I have too many books that need to be read sooner than later. And I’m ok with keeping it around for a bit. I’m not ready for the series to be over.

You must start the Daughter of Smoke and Bone! Have you read any of Taylor’s books? Her world building is so beautiful. And you get to read them all in a row! No wait between book–perfect. I love the cover and title for Take Back the Skies! I can’t wait to read it. I hope it lives up to our expectations.

I have not read a single novella from Maas. I am so ashamed but so happy I could buy them HC! I can’t wait to read them. I seriously need many more hours in each day. So glad to hear you loved them.

Ohh. Lots of pretty books 😀 I haven’t read any of them yet (A) but planning on reading a few ;p I hope you will love them all when you get to read them Kristen. <3 Happy reading 😀

The Ava book just pulled me in with that cover. I had to have it. I am so eager to read Take Back. I can’t wait to see the nail art you do for it! Did your cover look the same? I hope the book is wonderful.

I SO want to read Take Back the Skies! I think (might be wrong?) that it’s by a teen author? Anyway, I can’t wait to read it myself. XD Aaaand, I hope you like Ava Lavender. >,< I really didn't enjoy it but apparently I'm the minority! It's VERY strange. Haha!! But I'll stop now. XD

You know, I know NOTHING about Take Back. I literally had to request it because of the cover and title. I thought any book with that title needed to be read ASAP. I hope it lives up to our expectations. I hope I can enjoy Ava. I didn’t know anything about it and since then I’ve sort of skimmed reviews and I’m a tad nervous. I guess I’ll find out when I can manage to get around to it. I am curious to see what’s very strange 🙂

We seem to be morphing into book twins 😛 Seems like we both have amazing taste..hopefully the books will live up to our wishes. I’ll be distraught if Take Back the Skies isn’t amazing.

Eeps! I have the sequel and really need to pick it up sooner than later. I have so many May books to read. I hope it’s wonderful! I’m so terrified to read DoGaM…my heart doesn’t want to be torn out (even in a good way). I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet.

Fingers crossed TBtS is amazing! I sort of want to reread the whole series before starting DoGaM but I have no clue when I’d be able to make the time. Thanks for dropping by!
