Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review. So excited about this book haul:
Won (via Penguin):
The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines #4) by Richelle Mead
For Review (via NetGalley Invite):
Tsarina by J. Nelle Patrick
I’ve actually not read the Bloodlines series yet but I plan to one of these days (hopefully sooner than later). I absolutely love the cover of Tsarina and the summary is crazy intriguing. So excited about this one. Hoping I can start it next week or the following week.
I’ve just finished The Shadow Society (which I read with Jen from Starry-Eyed Revue) and sadly DNFed White Space about 7% in. You can see why here.
Last week’s posts:
-
Review of Scarlet by A.C. Gaughen
- Review of The Unbound by Victoria Schwab
- DNF review of White Space by Ilsa J. Bick
- Lego Cover Art of The Unbound for the blog tour
What books did you receive this week?
TSARINA looks awesome… I’ll definitely be watching for your review of that one. I totally didn’t realize until this week that it’s written by Jackson Pearce!
My StS: http://wp.me/p46UFY-11R
I’ve not read anything by Jackson Pearce yet…but I am thrilled to be able to read this one. Looks so good. That cover is so beautiful.
The cover for Tsarina is very intriguing! Russian? It sounds Russian. I’m going to look it up, because I don’t read NEARLY enough books set in different places. 🙂 My StS!
haha, this one just came to my attention recently and it is just beautiful. I don’t know much of what it’s about just that I know I need to read it.
Tsarina looks so good! I hope you like it.
Great haul, hun! <33
Thanks Mel! I’m really excited about it 🙂
I cannot wait to get my pre-ordered copy of Tsarina 😀 It sounds pretty awesome. I hope you will enjoy it sweetie. <3 And winning books is always fun 🙂
Winning is always fun (even if you’ve not read the series) I heard from Tsarina from you so thank you for that! It wasn’t on my radar until I saw you tweet about it.
Tsarina sounds pretty awesome! I cannot wait till you read it so I can see what your opinion is!
thanks Pili…and it comes out next month! I’ll be reading it in the next couple of weeks. Super excited.
I have The Fiery Heart but I haven’t gotten to it yet, but I’ve heard great things 🙂
I’ve heard such amazing things about the Bloodlines series. I know I’ll read them just don’t have time just yet. Hopefully I can start this year.
Nice covers on both of your books. I hope the contents are as good 🙂

Me too!!
Tsarina looks great! I hope you can stop by mine.
I’ve very excited about it. Looks super unique
I love The Vampire Academy series. I am on book 5 but I have been told not to read the spin off until I have read them all. So I am gonna hang fire a for a bit until I pick them up.
Congrats on winning the giveaway and I hope you enjoy your books! 🙂
No Showcase Sunday this week – My Current Giveaway: A book of your choice!
Yikes, I have A LOT to read before I can get to this book. I will eventually 🙂
I am a HUGE fan of the Bloodlines series! Enjoy!
See, knowing you are a huge fan I’ve got to get into this series…I’ve heard the best things about them.
I love the cover of Tsarina. Enjoy your new reads 🙂 My STS
Thanks Jillyn! I love it too…so pretty.
I’m going to echo what everyone else has said, I cannot wait to get your take on Tsarina, Kristen! The cover is calling out to me, and I don’t know a single thing about the story. I really hope it delivers!

Yep…the cover calls to me too. Thinking after Archetype this will be my next read. So intrigued.
I keep hearing such great things about the VA series and the follow up one. I am really hoping that I can get to both this year. I hope you enjoy your books 🙂 My STS.
Thank you! I’ve heard wonderful things too. I read the first book in the VA series last year and wasn’t blown away. I did hear that they get better with each book.
I just know Tsarina is going to be so bad-ass! I didn’t *love* Pearce’s other series of retellings, but I’ve already heard great things about this one (written under her pseudonym). Hoping I can get to it soon, too. I’ve read all the VA and Bloodlines books, and I’m excited for the movie. Making my hubby take me to see it, and in turn, he’s making me go see Lone Survivor with him since he’s actually read that book. 😛 I was thinking of posting my The Secret Society review on Friday…what do you think?
I’ve not read any of Pearce’s other stuff…I have a feeling that this one is going to be amazing thinking I’ll start it next week or so. Really excited 🙂 I wasn’t crazy about the first VA book—do you think I’d like the others more? Yes, Friday is perfect for TSS review for me too 🙂 My dad just finished reading Lone Survivor…he said the book was very well done.
I really recommend the Bloodlines saga. Especially if you are a fan of some mysterious action and of course characters. I have read only 3 books, because the 4th one is not available in my country. I also would recommend to read firstly the Vampire Academy saga, which takes you to the whole world of vampires and then also to Bloodlines saga. It’s a kind of spin-off. When you’ll read the 4th part of Bloodlines, say what do you think about it, if it is worth it, I bet it is 🙂
Looks like I have a lot to catch up on! I’ve only read the first of the VA books…so many to read. I’ll eventually make time (I hope). I wasn’t 100% crazy for the first book but hopefully I’ll like the second more. I’ve heard such great things about the Bloodlines series.
