Stacking the Shelves

It is official. My one and only child is a kindergartener. He had a great week though I think he’s very ready for the weekend. Of course, he brought home a cold from being around all the kiddos so I imagine this will be a quiet weekend at home.

This week was an amazing week for bloggers because Harper put up a lot of the Winter 2016 titles on Edelweiss. It was EPIC. I think most folks went on a download/requesting spree and I downloaded a good amount myself. I’ve even already read one, Burning Glass. I really enjoyed it and read it in about a day…I became pretty well addicted.

Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.

The Books

StS828Thank you Algonquin, Penguin, Harper and Jess! I’d never heard of Cut Both Ways or Superhuman Mind but I’ll be giving them a go. Beastly Bones was such an excellent book! Loved it so much. You can see my review here.

The E-ARCs

AHHH, so excited for these books! I read Burning Glass (loved it) and I think A Study in Charlotte will be up next. Oh, and ignore Walk the Earth a Stranger…that’s been on there a long time. I have considered going back to Edelweiss for seconds but trying to resist the urge for now.

Last Week’s Posts

What did you get this week? If you’re a blogger and use Edelweiss did you go on a Harper spree?

I only downloaded ONE title this week (Flamecaster) but I definitely thought about going back for some others, particularly Assassin’s Heart. But i am trying so hard to cut back on arcs – so far so good!

Blood and Salt! It’s one of MOST anticipated books for the year. I got a copy signed at BEA and I planned to read it immediately but I *still* haven’t gotten to it. Hopefully soon though. Right after Queen of Shadows 😉

So impressed that you made it out of Edelweiss downloading just one book. GO YOU! I tried to be picky but I still got more than I should have. And I bet I go back for seconds too.

I am SO excited about Blood and Salt!! I hope we both love it.

OOoh nice! I find myself debating over Blood and Salt! Read some good reviews so far, so it’s a definite maybe! Can’t wait for The Great Hunt! Love fairy tale retellings and I put a delayed request in for this one! But as I am very behind on my 2015 releases and other back stock (LOL!) I’m not worried about getting approvals! Hope you enjoy all your awesome new reads!!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

I hope you love all your new books. I managed to pick up a lot of the Harper Teen titles. It was impossible to resist. Also Blood and Salt was amazing.

Definitely requested Burning Glass (fingers crossed though with my pretty much newbie status I don’t think I’ll be that lucky) but I have about six physical books that I haven’t read and two more review arcs to read so no lack of reading material really… haha.
I’m saving the first 15 chapters of Truthwitch as a reward for finishing all of the above. 🙂

I’m trying to avoid signing up at Edelweiss. I’m so tempted with the books I find at NetGalley and my library that I just don’t know if I could handle more. Reading is still very personal for me — so I only request books that I would have bought for myself. (But don’t tell the publishers that!) At least by requesting books I know I will like, the publisher is guaranteed a good review.
