Another week has passed and again I’m not entirely sure where it went. I didn’t post a Stacking the Shelves last week so I’m combining those books with this week’s mail. Did you hear about the possibility of a Labyrinth reboot? I…just don’t know what to make of this. The idea has been talked about prior to Bowie’s passing but ugh. I don’t know. I don’t think I could see anyone else as Jareth. I think if they made a movie that was really different than the original it might be ok? I just don’t know.
Now onto the books…Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.
The Books
Thank you Disney, Random House, Harper, McDuffie Communications, Scholastic, Mary, Rachel, Julie, Penguin, Macmillan and St. Martins! What an amazing haul! I have zero self control so I dropped all things to read The Star-Touched Queen. I don’t know if you follow me on Twitter but I’ve been so eager to read it and had really high expectations. You can see what I thought here. I received The Crown’s Game last week and read it immediately. It was a 5 star read for me. I’m so excited to dive into these other books.

Awesome haul of books. I have heard good things about Ivory and Bone. The Star Touched Queen is supposed to be really good. I hope you love all your new books.
Wow, that is an impressive collection! I have only heard good things about The Star Touched Queen, though I really hope it is not similar to The Wrath and The Dawn with was captivating. So I’ve marked the publication date already in my calendar 😉
Thanks for making me even more curious now 😉
Cheers
Kati

Oh wow!!! So many beautiful shiny new reads!!! Starflight is one I am looking forward to, though I still want to read Landers’ first set of books too! And oooh The Star Touched Queen is one i just added to my need it list! LOL! Seeing Rebel of the Sands a lot so naturally, I’m getting curious about it! And ooh Dream On! I still need to read Dream a Little Dream! So behind it seems!
I too remember hearing about a possible Labyrinth revival. I thought I remembered hearing something about a possible “sequel” so, same characters possibly, like maybe Toby being older? Not sure if I could handle a remake though. I think I could possibly like it if they introduced it as a “new Goblin King” because if they go with Jareth I will be most upset because that role belongs to Bowie! But if they were to introduce “Gareth” who overthrew Jareth or some such scenario, I might be more open to that. Or you know, it be Jareth Jr. because Sarah came back after a year! Lol.
Happy Reading!!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so stop by then if you can!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
This is kind of random, but I <3 how you keep experimenting w/ your STS the pictures. 😀
We should swap notes on the Gilded Cage!!!
That looks like a fantastic haul of books and at least three of those are ones I’m really excited to read (The Star-Touched Queen, The Crown’s Game, and Rebel of the Sands). I tried The Silver Witch as an audio book but I had a hard time getting into it. The premise was interesting but I found it kind of slow. I hope you like it though.
So many great books! Rebel of the Sands, Starflight, and Star-Touched Queen are ones I can’t wait to read.
Happy reading this week, dear!
I can’t wait to read Ivory and Bone! Though I’m a tad bit worried about a love triangle. Still, it sounds like a me book… I hope you enjoy all of your new books!
Have a fantastic weekend, Kristen. 🙂

Firstly labryinth I don’t think they should remake it. Although the special effects now would be amazing. I meant to record it last night as it was in for the girls to watch although I think they would be scared.
What a fantastic hall of books. I haven’t read any of those.
I actually wrote a review this week which I am pleased about as seemed to lose my mojo. I have read some good books this week but yesterday I really struggled to find a book that enthused me and started three. They were good but think I fancy a change and may look for some In depth books.
I had some bad news this week in that one of our best friends list his mum to the big C. I find it so hard to know what to say and do in these situations.
Have a good week X
It’s not a reboot, apparently — it’s meant to be a sequel. I haven’t seen Labyrinth at all, though, so I should probably, you know, do that.
Looks like you had a great haul of books! You’ve made me very curious about The Star-Touched Queen.
Okay, everyone has said this already but you always haul amazing books! A little ARC envy showing.. ;). Anyway, I’m looking forward to THE CROWN’S GAME, SQUARE ROOT OF SUMMER, and SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS a lot! I’ve read A STUDY IN CHARLOTTE and I love it soooo much so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :),
What an awesome pile, Kristen!! I’m totally dying to get my hands on Ivory & Bone and The Star-Touched Queen!! And also Starflight!!
