This week was so delightful since the roof was finished so no more hammering. I feel like we’ve gotten into a routine now with the kiddo in kindergarten. I’ve still not really been in the mood to blog and instead I’ve been spending my spare time watching movies.
I watched the new Cinderella and was honestly disappointed. I don’t feel it really brought much to the story and I was so distracted by how tight Ella’s corset was. During the ball scene her waist was so tightly corseted I felt it actually interrupted her acting ability. She was nearly breathless through most of it and I was so distracted. I don’t know, it was a very pretty movie but that was about all I felt for it. Have you seen it? Liked it? I must admit that of all the fairy-tales Cinderella is one of my least favorites so my meh feelings could be derived from that. I’m just hoping I’ll be able to love the live action Beauty and the Beast.
Besides that I have been reading The White Rose (about 60% done) and it’s ok. Much like the first book it’s a quick read but I’m not overly connected to it in any way. I couldn’t resist any longer and started Blackhearts (about 100 pages in) and I’m really enjoying it. It feels like reading a BBC mini-series. These 2016 releases are so enticing! I can’t stop myself from being lured into reading them instead of that stack I should be reading.
Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.
The Books
This week of books has me flailing. I ordered Burn and though I’m crazy eager to read it I’m so sad to say goodbye to this series. Simon Teen was so amazing to send me Blackhearts and Macmillan sent me the others. I can’t wait to read them all.

I just started Blackhearts this week. I am loving it. It’s truly fantastic. I just want to hang around in Teach & Anna’s world forever.
Looks like MacMillian was very generous in what they sent you this week.

YESSSSS!! BUUUURN!!! I feel like I will be doing a re-read of the whole series before the end of the year! How I love The Rephaim series!
I haven’t watched the latest Cinderella movie, but I feel that I’d only watch it for the Prince being played by Rob Stark and those eyes of his!!
Nice haul! I’ve been wondering about Blackhearts — I’ve seen it around a lot this week!
Yay for roof being done 😀 That is awesome news. <3 And aw, yay for getting so so many great books this week 😀 Blackhearts to look so so pretty. Sigh. Jealous. <3 And aw, so jealous of your Macmillan books too 🙂 They stopped loving me, sobs. Saying they can't ship to Norway anymore :\ Sniffs. So so so so depressing. But yeah. I hope you will love all the books 😀 Happy reading Kristen. <3
Oooh very nice! Hope you enjoy the new reads!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!

I actually really loved the new Cinderella movie. I’ve seen it twice already and I don’t know, it keeps the magic alive 🙂 Happy reading!
I really enjoyed the new Cinderella movie, sorry you didn’t. I’m enjoying The White Rose so far, although not as much as I did with The Jewel. Hope you have a great week!
Check out my Sunday Post
The Cinderella movie was really pretty but soooo disappointing. I couldn’t agree with you more! Ever After was So much better and I was hoping the movie would take that route, but it was much more similar to the cartoon.
Yaaasss, The Impostor Queen! I think I’m eight for nine with Sarah’s books (I haven’t read Burn yet, it’s on my bookshelf to be read!). I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

I liked Cinderella, and have such a fond memory of it, since I watched it on the flight when I went to Philippines. and it helped me cure all my nerves since I was flying alone for the first time!:)
BLACKHEARTS!!! I am looking forward to see your opinion of it!
