So, I’ve not been nearly as active blogging this last week and I’m okay with that I’ve been distracted by home repairs (getting a new roof and had to replace our water heater). It’s been pretty hectic around my house (not to mention LOUD) so I’ve not been reading as much or bothering to write reviews. I will hopefully get back into posting more frequently this coming week.
As for books I had an AMAZING bookmail week. I received two 2016 releases I’m crazy eager for and I finally got an arc of Throne of Glass. I’ve been looking for one forever and now my collection is complete. I can’t tell you how happy I am.
Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews is a weekly meme where you show what books you’ve purchased, gotten from the library, received from giveaway, as gifts or for review.
The Books
I was so sure that all the arcs of ToG had already found their forever homes so had nearly given up hope. I can’t thank Denise from Dandelionn Wine Book Blog enough for making my dream come true.
Thank you Shannon Parker, Simon Teen, Janet Taylor and HMH for Young Readers for these books. I am THRILLED. Look how pretty. I am smitten with both books and I might have carried them around my house staring at the lovely covers for a few days.
Last Week’s Posts
- Review of A Curious Tale of the In-Between by Lauren DeStefano
- Review of Dreamland by Robert L. Anderson
Current Giveaways
- Enter to win a finished copy of A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis
That is so cool you have all of the ARCs for the Throne of Glass series! I have almost all of the hardcovers and all of the released paperbacks except for Heir of Fire (did that one release in paperback yet?). All of my paperback copies are signed though so hopefully, I’ll be able to get the rest of series’s paperbacks signed as their released as well! Basically, I have two copies of every book, but I almost always lend out my hardcovers.
Is it that time of year to start requesting 2016 releases? Wow. I suppose it it. I actually am about to get my hands on a copy of one myself, which I’m all too excited about. There are so many books releasing this half of the year and in the beginning of 2016 that I simply must get my hands on at some point!
YAY!! I’m so glad it finally made it’s way to you! Also YEESSSS to Into The Dim!! super exciting stuff!!
Hope you had a lovely b-day and they knock that rachet off soon.

YAAAY! I’m SO THRILLED that you managed to complete your collection 😀 That is amazing. <3 You are the luckiest. And yay for getting two awesome looking ARCs in the mail too 🙂 I hope you will love them all Kristen. <3 And aw, no rush in blogging and reading 🙂 It is good to take time off sometimes. Hope you are having a great weekend. <3
Oh that’s awesome!! It’s always nice to be able to complete your collection! Especially when it comes to ARCs! I’m still trying to track down an ARC of A Book of Spirits and Thieves. Hadn’t had any bites, but maybe a possible nibble! Congrats!
Nice new reads too! I have Into the Dim to read as well, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. EW finally approved a request, or the pubs did it’s been sitting on my kindle for awhile now. Might read it once I get through a few other important reads. So basically the goal is before the end of the year! LOL!
Happy Reading!!
My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I hope you had a wonderful birthday, my dear! And YAY for your ToG collection now being complete!! The Girl Who Fell has such a great cover, and Into The Dim sounds wonderful 🙂
Yay for a complete ToG collection! I’m missing a Crown of Midnight ARC and Heir of Fire US paperback, but I’m not TOO bothered by that. They take up enough room on my shelves as it is and I’m running out space!
I’m sooo excited to read Into the Dim. I requested it, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed and regularly checking my mailbox. I hope it’s amazing!
YAY!! So happy for you that you managed to get the ARC of Throne of Glass after all!!
And oigh, home repairs and renovations are such a pain in the arse! I still have so much to do at the apartment, but I’m trying to go slow so I don’t feel too overwhelmed myself!
Ahhh, yay!!! I’m so glad you got your ToG ARC! I know how hard you were looking! <3
Isn’t it wonderful when we get that ARC that we need? I had just one or two that I’m still looking for, but so far I’m keeping up to date!
Check out my STS
Into The Dim looks amazing! Home repairs are so not fun. They can take forever and are just so disruptive.
