Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we are highly anticipating. This week’s pre-publication “can’t-wait to-read” selection is: Unhinged by A.G. Howard
Summary (via Goodreads):
Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she’s always dreamed of.
That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.
As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.
If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she’ll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.
Why am I waiting on Unhinged?
This week the nominations for the YA Crush Tourney are in full swing. Morpheus is one of the top ten boys so far! If you love Splintered go vote. This got me thinking about the beautiful cover of Unhinged and making it torture that this book isn’t coming out for months.
Haven’t read Splintered yet? Go check out my review.
What are you waiting on? Link up to your post or leave you WOW in the comments. Thanks for stopping by.
I adored Splintered after finally caving and getting the audio. I was so excited when I learned there would be a sequel! Great pick…I can’t wait for this book either! 😀
Was so happy it fulfilled my creepy Alice in Wonderland craving 🙂
Okay, I love the cover to this but I’m probably not going to read this one, It just doesn’t sound like something I could get into. But hopefully the months separating you from this book speed by fast so you can get your hands on it and finally enjoy it, lol.

I still haven’t read Splintered but this still looks really good. The Mad Hatter on the cover is very Burtonesque wouldn’t you agree?
